CM Yadav Pushes Local Skills to Create More Jobs Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has called for better use of local resources traditional skills and new ideas to create more jobs and self-employment opportunities for young people. Speaking at a District Development Advisory Committee meeting in Tikamgarh on Friday he said local potential in industries trade agriculture and animal husbandry must be fully used. He also asked officials to prepare a roadmap to give local products and traditional skills national and international recognition under the Prime Minister’s “Vocal for Local” vision. The Chief Minister said local needs resources innovations and suggestions from public representatives should become part of the district’s development plans. BJP MLA Alleges Plot to Trap Him in Rape Case BJP MLA from Pichhore Pritam Lodhi has made serious allegations against his political opponents in Shivpuri. The MLA claimed that women are being sent to his residence in an attempt to trap him in a rape case. According to Lodhi his opponents first try to create an argument with women and then record the conversation or dispute on mobile phones. He alleged that these videos are later planned to be used against him to file a case under Section 376. Lodhi has accused his rivals of hatching a conspiracy against him. His allegations have created a political controversy in the area. Four Snakebite Deaths Reported in Chhatarpur in One Day Four people died from snakebites in Chhatarpur with post-mortems conducted at the district hospital on Thursday. Hospital officials confirmed the deaths. Two victims had already died before they could be brought to the hospital while two others died during treatment. The deceased have been identified as Ganesh Patel 27-year-old Rakesh Yadav 60-year-old Bhaguniya Kushwaha and 18-year-old Rachna Sahu. Rakesh Yadav and Ganesh Patel were brought to the district hospital on August 20 in a dead condition. Civil Surgeon Dr. Sharad Chaurasia confirmed the cases. The incidents have once again highlighted the serious risk of snakebites during the monsoon season. Congress Names 13 In-Charges for Student Union Polls Congress has started preparations for student union elections in Madhya Pradesh nearly nine years after the last polls. Following High Court directions the state government has included student union elections in the 2026-27 academic calendar for September. However it is yet to be decided whether the elections will be direct or indirect. Ahead of the polls Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari has divided the state into 13 regions and appointed in-charges. They will coordinate with student organisations and help prepare candidates supported by the National Students’ Union of India or NSUI. The move marks the beginning of Congress’s organisational preparations for the elections. Minister Vijayvargiya Supporter’s Office Attacked in Indore An office linked to a supporter of Madhya Pradesh Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya was allegedly vandalised in Indore’s Azad Nagar area. The incident reportedly followed a dispute over the recovery of a car instalment. According to the complaint four youths entered the office and argued with family members before allegedly damaging property. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras. Police have registered a case and detained some youths for questioning. Police said the office belongs to Shiv Patil a catering worker from Palda who is associated with Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya. Patil also reportedly works in kitchens during events organised by the minister. Shivraj Chauhan Meets People Hears Public Complaints in Sehore Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan interacted with people during a district-level visit and public camp in Shahganj Sehore under the Chief Minister’s Jan-Vishwas campaign. Public representatives and district officials also attended the programme. The minister heard people’s complaints and discussed their problems. A total of 68 applications were received at the camp. Officials said most of the cases were resolved on the spot while instructions were issued for the quick disposal of the remaining applications. Collector Balaguru K. and District Panchayat CEO Sarjana Yadav directed officials to ensure effective implementation of the instructions given by the Union Minister and other public representatives. Jitu Patwari Backs Congress MLA’s Hunger Strike in Kailaras Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari visited Kailaras on Friday to support Congress MLA Pankaj Upadhyay who is on an indefinite hunger strike. Upadhyay began the protest on August 15 demanding the reopening of the Kailaras sugar factory. On the seventh day of the hunger strike Patwari reached Kailaras and met the MLA. He also took information about Upadhyay’s health condition. The Congress has been demanding that the sugar factory be restarted to support local farmers and workers. Patwari’s visit has given political support to the ongoing protest. The issue of the closed sugar factory has now become a major local concern. MP Performs First Wireless Dual-Chamber Pacemaker Implant Madhya Pradesh has reported its first successful implantation of a wireless dual-chamber permanent pacemaker in an 88-year-old patient in Indore. The procedure known as a leadless dual-chamber pacemaker implantation was performed on August 20. Doctors said the procedure was successful and the patient was discharged on the same day. The patient is now reported to be completely stable and doing well. Unlike traditional pacemakers the leadless system does not require wires connected to the heart. The successful procedure is being seen as an important development in advanced cardiac treatment in Madhya Pradesh. It also offers another treatment option for patients requiring pacemaker support. Madhya Pradesh Weather: Heavy Rain Alert Continues Madhya Pradesh is likely to see active monsoon conditions over the next few days. The India Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain in several parts of the state. East Madhya Pradesh may receive very heavy rainfall on August 21 and 22 while West Madhya Pradesh is also likely to get heavy showers. Thunderstorms lightning and strong winds may occur in some areas. Rain is expected to continue in many districts until August 25. People in low-lying areas are advised to remain careful. Authorities have also been asked to keep a close watch on water levels and possible waterlogging.
