MP’s First Free Property Registry Given to Sitaram Madhya Pradesh has started giving free property registries under the Swamitva Rights Scheme. BJP national president Nitin Nabin launched the campaign in Indore on Thursday. The first registry in the state was given to Sitaram a resident of Barod in Agar-Malwa district. After him Makhan Singh Gurjar from Raisen received property rights. Nitin Nabin said the scheme will give people the right to live with dignity and protect their property. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said the government has started the process for 50 lakh properties in rural areas. Patwaris will visit homes and distribute free registries. The campaign will continue until October 17. CM Mohan Yadav to Attend Semicon India 2026 in Delhi Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will attend Semicon India 2026 in New Delhi on Friday September 18. He will visit the Madhya Pradesh state pavilion at Yashobhoomi. The Chief Minister will also hold one-to-one meetings with Swedish and Japanese representatives. Discussions will focus on investment opportunities in the semiconductor and electronics sectors. Technology cooperation and possible business partnerships will also be discussed. Representatives from several companies and organisations are expected to attend these meetings. These include Canon Hanwha Acritech Kaijo Genesem and other companies. The Madhya Pradesh government is expected to highlight investment opportunities and industrial possibilities in the state during the event. Congress MLA Abhay Mishra Dragged Away by Police in Rewa A Congress MLA was reportedly dragged away by police during a protest in Rewa on Thursday. MLA Abhay Mishra had reached the spot to oppose the removal of Kalpana Mishra’s father. During the protest the MLA had an argument with police officials. Police then removed him from the spot and took him away. Abhay Mishra reportedly opposed the police action. A video showing the MLA being dragged away by police has surfaced. The incident is linked to the dispute over the removal of Kalpana Mishra’s father. The police action has attracted attention after the video appeared publicly. High Court Seeks Detailed Reply Before September 21 The Madhya Pradesh High Court has directed the state government to submit a detailed reply before September 21 in a case involving suspended Katni City Superintendent of Police Neha Pachisia. The court heard her petition on Thursday. Justice Himanshu Joshi’s single-judge bench listed the case for September 21. The court also made it clear that the petitioner’s request for interim relief will be considered on the same day. The state government has therefore been asked to submit its detailed response before the next hearing. The case concerns the suspension of the Katni police officer and her petition before the Madhya Pradesh High Court. Congress Says IDA Asked for Four Lakh More A dispute has emerged between the Congress party and the Indore Development Authority over the ground charges for Rahul Gandhi’s proposed ‘Students Ki Goonj’ programme in Indore on September 19. Congress says the Indore Development Authority or IDA had already received ten lakh rupees. The party says another four lakh rupees was later demanded for preparations and this amount was also paid. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav responded to Congress state president Jitu Patwari. He said Congress had earlier claimed that permission for the programme was not being given. According to the Chief Minister after permission was granted the party started raising the issue of money. EOW Raid: Society Manager Owns 5 Buses 2 Tractors and 4 Cars The Economic Offences Wing or EOW conducted a raid at the house of a cooperative society manager in Balaghat’s Lanji area on Thursday morning. The officer Vilas Chaure works as the in-charge manager of Maneri Service Cooperative Society. According to the EOW his income during around 12 years of service was about 25 lakh rupees. Investigators found documents related to vehicles land a house bank accounts insurance policies gold and investments. The agency said the properties found were much higher than his known income. His bank accounts have been seized during the investigation. Officials also found gym equipment worth around ten lakh rupees which he had reportedly planned to use for opening a gym. Around 2.5 Lakh Diyas Lit in Bhopal Around 2.5 lakh diyas were lit at different places across Bhopal district on Thursday evening. The ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme was organised as part of the launch of the Seva Sankalp campaign. Collective lighting took place at 17 locations in urban areas and 11 locations in rural areas. Diyas were lit at historical monuments major crossings ghats temples and other public places. In villages people also lit diyas at religious sites ponds and community areas. The programme aimed to spread messages of service dedication social harmony and public welfare. Large numbers of people participated in the diya lighting activities across different parts of the district. Two Children Die After Snake Bites in Katni Two children died after being bitten by snakes in separate incidents in Madhya Pradesh’s Katni district on Thursday. The first incident happened in the Bilhari area. A 17-year-old boy was sleeping inside a Ganesh festival pandal when a snake reportedly bit him. The second incident took place in Bareta village under Reethi police station. A 12-year-old girl was sleeping at home when she was bitten by a snake. Both children later died. With these two deaths the number of people who have died from snake bites in Katni during the last two months has reportedly reached 15. Snake bite incidents have increased in rural areas of the district. Rain Likely in Several Areas More Rain Expected Soon Madhya Pradesh may see light rain and thunderstorms in several areas today. The IMD has reported no major statewide warning but isolated rain and thunderstorms are possible in parts of the state. Bhopal may also receive showers while Indore and Jabalpur are expected to remain partly cloudy with chances of rain or thunderstorms. Temperatures in many cities are likely to remain around 32 to 34 degrees Celsius. Weather activity may increase again after September 19 especially in western Madhya Pradesh.
