58 Lakh Diyas to Light Up Madhya Pradesh on PM Modi’s Birthday Madhya Pradesh will witness a grand Deepotsav on September 17 Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. Under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan more than 58 lakh lamps will be lit across the state at 7 PM. Lamps will be lit in gram panchayats urban wards and at selected historical and archaeological sites. Beneficiary families of government schemes and social organisations will also take part. The biggest event is planned at Mahakal Lok in Ujjain where more than 25 lakh lamps are expected to be lit. The campaign will also include several public service activities across Madhya Pradesh. Free Property Registration for 50 Lakh People in MP A major property rights campaign will begin in Madhya Pradesh on September 17. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will launch the Swamitva Adhikar Abhilekh Execution and Registration Scheme. Under the scheme property records of more than 50 lakh rural beneficiaries will be registered free of cost. Citizens will not have to pay stamp duty or registration charges for the eligible properties. So far surveys of 68.47 lakh plots have been completed in 41568 villages. Registration camps will be organised at the gram panchayat level. The government will bear the cost of the registration process. Missile Remark Sparks Political Row in Bhopal A political dispute has intensified in Bhopal over remarks by BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi. Owaisi had raised questions about Sharma’s earlier missile remark during his Bhopal visit. Sharma has now responded referring to India’s military action under Operation Sindoor. He said Indian missiles targeted terror infrastructure across the border and were not meant for ordinary citizens. The exchange has led to sharp political statements from both sides. Jitu Patwari Questions Fee for Rahul Gandhi’s Indore Event Congress leader Jitu Patwari has questioned the fee charged by the Indore Development Authority for Rahul Gandhi’s upcoming student event. Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ programme is scheduled in Indore on September 19. According to reports the Congress party deposited more than 10 lakh rupees with the Indore Development Authority for temporary use of the venue. Patwari questioned whether similar fees were collected for programmes organised by the RSS in the past. He raised the issue during a public discussion about the event. The programme will focus on issues concerning students education and employment. Justice Avanindra Kumar Singh to Retire on September 17 Justice Avanindra Kumar Singh who is posted at the Principal Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court is set to retire on September 17 2026. After his retirement the number of serving judges in the High Court will come down. The High Court has 53 sanctioned posts for judges while several positions are already vacant. The court is also dealing with a large number of pending cases. A full court farewell programme is scheduled at the High Court on September 17 at 3:30 PM. Judges lawyers and judicial officers are expected to attend the farewell programme. Thousands Gather in Ujjain Over Khade Hanuman Temple A large number of devotees gathered in Ujjain over the issue of the Khade Hanuman temple. Protesters demanded that the revered Hanuman idol should remain at its present location. During the demonstration some people raised slogans saying they would face difficulties but would not allow the temple to be moved. The issue has attracted attention among devotees and local residents. The eight-foot standing Hanuman idol has remained at the site even after the surrounding temple structure was removed. The matter has also led to discussions about faith heritage and the future of the site. Heavy Rain May Return to MP After September 19 Madhya Pradesh may see another spell of heavy rain after September 19. Weather experts expect a new weather system to become active around that time. If the system becomes strong the state may move closer to its normal seasonal rainfall level. Madhya Pradesh has received around 33 inches of rain so far while the normal seasonal average is about 37.3 inches. This means around 4.3 inches of additional rain is needed to reach the normal mark. Rainfall activity is expected in several parts of the state before the monsoon finally withdraws.
