Police say the arrest is linked to a drug supply investigation after an accused reportedly mentioned his name during questioning. Following the arrest Rajendra Nagar Police took him to an undisclosed location for further investigation. Congress leaders have called the action politically motivated and accused the government of targeting opposition voices. Senior lawyer and Rajya Sabha MP Vivek Tankha also expressed concern saying such actions could create serious situations in the future. BJP MLA Vows to Walk Barefoot Until Roads Are Built BJP MLA Ghanshyam Chandravanshi has made a unique promise saying he will not wear shoes or slippers until roads in his Kalapipal constituency are completed. Responding to the statement the Chief Minister assured that the roads would be constructed and said there was no need for the MLA to give up wearing footwear. Nitin Gadkari Inspects Expressway with 19-Vehicle Convoy Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari visited Madhya Pradesh to inspect the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. After a short interaction he continued his journey with a convoy of 19 vehicles. First Nomination Filed for Datia By-Election The Datia Assembly by-election has seen its first official nomination.
