Supreme Court Orders Prayer Space Near Dhar Bhojshala The Supreme Court has asked the Madhya Pradesh government to provide a separate open place near the Dhar Bhojshala complex for Friday prayers. Muslims will be allowed to offer namaz there every Friday from 1 PM to 3 PM. The court also directed the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) not to make any changes inside the Bhojshala complex without court permission. The hearing is related to a challenge against the Madhya Pradesh High Court order which declared the site a temple. Hindu worship at Bhojshala will continue while Muslims will pray at the designated nearby place. MP Government Changes Take-Home Ration System The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet has changed the system for supplying Take-Home Ration to children aged six months to three years. The responsibility has been taken back from the State Livelihood Mission and given to the Women and Child Development Department. The decision was approved during the Cabinet meeting on Tuesday. Another Cabinet meeting will be held on July 18 in Jagdishpur Bhopal district before the Assembly session begins on July 21. The government is expected to approve the draft of the Uniform Civil Code or UCC before presenting it as a Bill in the Assembly. Jitu Patwari Starts Cyclothon Over Paper Leak Issue Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari has started a two-day cyclothon from Indore to Bhopal. The campaign is part of Rahul Gandhis Students Voice movement. It highlights alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG and CBSE exams paper leak cases and unemployment. Congress workers students and young people joined the journey with more participants expected from Dewas Sehore and Bhopal. During the rally Patwari demanded a fair investigation into every paper leak case. He also questioned why BJP-linked people were allegedly involved and demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. FIR Against Cockroach Janata Party Workers in Gwalior Police in Gwalior have registered an FIR against 15 workers of the Cockroach Janata Party for holding a protest without permission. The demonstration was organised at Maharaj Bada against the alleged NEET paper leak. Police said the administration had already cancelled permission for the protest but the workers continued with the demonstration. A case has been registered against party member Aniket Shivhare and other supporters. This is said to be the first case registered against the party in Madhya Pradesh. Police are investigating the matter and further action may follow. Students Shave Heads During NEET Protest in Indore Students protesting in Indore have intensified their agitation over the alleged NEET paper leak and 23 other demands. They have been protesting for the past 14 days at Tantya Bhil Square. On Tuesday they marched to the Collectorate and staged a sit-in outside the gate. Angry over the lack of response from the administration some students shaved their heads as a mark of protest. They are demanding strict action against those responsible for the paper leak and immediate action on all 23 demands. Supporters of the Cockroach Janata Party also joined the protest. Madhya Pradesh Records Rainfall Deficit in July Madhya Pradesh has recorded below-normal rainfall for the first time this July. According to the India Meteorological Department in Bhopal the state has received three percent less rainfall than normal so far. Eastern regions including Jabalpur Shahdol Sagar and Rewa divisions recorded a 17 percent rainfall deficit. Western regions including Bhopal Indore Ujjain Narmadapuram Gwalior and Chambal received 10 percent less rain than average. Weather officials continue to monitor the monsoon while farmers are hoping for better rainfall in the coming days.
