Opposition to Move Supreme Court in Nirmala Sapre Defection Case Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar will move the Supreme Court after getting no relief from the Madhya Pradesh High Court in the alleged defection case of Bina MLA Nirmala Sapre. The High Court refused to direct the Assembly Speaker to decide the disqualification petition and dismissed the plea. Congress says the Speaker has delayed the decision for months to protect the BJP government. The party now plans to file a Special Leave Petition or SLP in the Supreme Court. The case is expected to become an important legal and political issue in the coming days. Khamenei Images Seen During Muharram Processions in Bhopal Muharram processions were held across Bhopal on Friday to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussain at Karbala. Large numbers of mourners joined the processions carrying tazias buraqs religious standards and Islamic flags. During the event some youths were seen wearing T-shirts featuring the image of Irans Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Participants also carried posters linking the message of Karbala with issues including Palestine Manipur the Pahalgam attack and the Iran conflict. One poster carried the message Karbala – A Voice Against Oppression and stated that terrorism anywhere is a threat to peace everywhere. ₹3 Crore Road in Morena Damaged Soon After Construction A newly built road worth nearly ₹3 crore in Morena has raised serious questions over construction quality. Villagers claimed the road started peeling off with just a touch. They recorded videos and complained to the authorities. The contractor said there was little profit left after the bidding process. However the sub-engineer defended the construction and said the road was built properly. Officials have started an inquiry to find out whether poor quality material or faulty construction caused the damage. Action will depend on the investigation report. Illegal Mining Accused Threatens Tehsildar in Shivpuri A shocking incident has come to light from Shivpuri district. A tehsildar who went to stop illegal soil mining was threatened with death by a mining accused. The man allegedly said he would shoot the officer and even called his son to bring a gun. The incident happened in Sadbud village of Badarwas tehsil and a video surfaced later. Police have registered a case against Jaymandal Yadav his father Lakhan Yadav and his son Vikul Yadav. All three have been arrested and further investigation is underway. Demand to Give Democracy Activists Freedom Fighter Status At a Democracy Fighters Conference in Bhopal former Governor Captain Singh Solanki demanded equal respect for democracy activists also known as MISA detainees. He said they should receive the same status as freedom fighters. Solanki added that this decision cannot be taken by the Chief Minister alone and needs approval from the Central Government. He urged BJP leader Kailash Soni to raise the issue with the Centre. The demand has once again started a discussion about the recognition and benefits given to democracy activists. Young Woman Stabbed 14 Times in Ujjain Market A young woman working as a computer operator was attacked in a busy market in Ujjain. Police said the accused stopped her while she was going to work and stabbed her 14 times. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras. According to police the accused had been following the woman for the past four days. She suffered serious injuries and is receiving treatment in hospital. The accused has been taken into police custody. The investigation is continuing to find out the exact reason behind the attack. Lightning and Storm Kill Six People in Madhya Pradesh Severe weather caused multiple tragedies across Madhya Pradesh on Friday. In Balaghat lightning killed four people including two children and injured eight others. In Dewas strong winds and heavy rain caused a house balcony to collapse killing two women and injuring three people including a young girl. In Satna lightning also killed 17 goats and two buffaloes. Officials have advised people to stay indoors during thunderstorms and avoid open fields to reduce the risk of lightning-related accidents. Emergency teams are monitoring the situation.
