Jabalpur: 12 Kg Live Bomb Found During Digging A major scare happened in Jabalpur after a live bomb was found during house construction work. Workers were digging land near Gaderi village close to Dumna Airport when they noticed a suspicious metal object underground. Police bomb disposal teams and army officers quickly reached the spot. Officials said it was a 12-kilogram unexploded bomb with a dangerous range of around 50 meters. The area was sealed for safety and local people were kept away. After careful inspection the bomb was safely handed over to the army for further action. Authorities are now checking how the bomb reached there. ------ CM Mohan Yadav Visits Jammu and Kashmir Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is on a visit to Jammu and Kashmir. On the first day he visited the Vaishno Devi temple and offered prayers. He also reviewed arrangements made for pilgrims by the temple trust. On the second day of his visit he reached Srinagar and met Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. The meeting was described as a courtesy visit. Officials said discussions focused on administration and development matters. The visit is being seen as important for strengthening ties and understanding better management systems for tourism and public facilities. ------- Congress Leaders Hold Big Meeting in Bhopal Senior Congress leaders gathered in Bhopal for an important meeting focused on tribal rights and land issues. Authorities added that strict action would be taken if anyone is found guilty of allowing untrained workers to handle medical treatment. ------- Indore Woman Cheated of Lakhs in Facebook Fraud A woman in Indore became a victim of cyber fraud after trusting a man she met on Facebook. Police said the man claimed to be a businessman living in London and slowly gained her trust by calling her his sister. He promised expensive gifts and later asked for money on different excuses. The woman reportedly gave more than ₹12 lakh and even mortgaged jewelry and sold silver items. After realizing the fraud she complained to police. Officers are now investigating the case and warning people to avoid trusting strangers online. ------ MP Government Schools to Reopen from June 16 Government schools in Madhya Pradesh will reopen on June 16 for the new academic session 2026–27. The state government has delayed reopening because of extreme heat and heatwave conditions. Teachers will now report to schools from June 7 instead of June 1. The second phase of the “School Chalein Hum” campaign will also begin on June 16 and continue till June 30. Officials said the aim is to bring every child to school rejoin dropout students and improve education quality.
