MP CM Slams “Improper Conduct” by a Chief Minister After the Wakankar National Honour ceremony Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav strongly reacted to West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee’s actions during an Enforcement Directorate operation. Speaking to the media he said a Chief Minister is expected to cooperate with constitutional and central institutions like the ED. He reminded that all elected leaders take an oath to uphold the Constitution and respect institutions. Dr. Yadav said creating confrontation or taking away documents in such situations sends a wrong message. According to him such conduct does not suit the dignity of a Chief Minister and cannot be justified under any circumstances. ESMA Imposed on 3.5 Lakh Teachers in MP The Madhya Pradesh government has imposed the Essential Services Maintenance Act on nearly 3.5 lakh teachers across the state. The decision comes ahead of Class 10 and 12 board examinations starting from February 7. As per the order teachers will not be allowed to take leave protest or refuse exam-related duties between February 1 and April 30. The education board has also announced D.El.Ed exam results and given students a final chance for subject correction. Around 17 lakh students are expected to appear in the exams. Officials say the move ensures smooth and fair conduct of examinations. MP Road Development Corporation MD Warns Engineers The Managing Director of MP Road Development Corporation Bharat Yadav has taken a tough stand against engineers ignoring the new Schedule of Rates policy. Despite the policy being implemented six months ago some departments were still using old rates for projects. On receiving complaints the MD reprimanded officials and issued clear instructions that only the new SOR must be followed. He warned that strict action will be taken if such violations are repeated. The directive applies to all PWD districts and divisions. Authorities say this step is necessary to ensure transparency and uniformity in government infrastructure projects. Controversy Over Slaughter House Contract in Bhopal The issue of cow deaths and beef seizure has again heated up politics in Bhopal. From a vehicle linked to the city’s modern slaughter house 26 tonnes of meat were seized and confirmed to be beef. Congress workers protested outside the municipal corporation office questioning how beef trade was allowed. They demanded strict action and demolition of the contractor’s property. The slaughter house built at a cost of ₹35 crore was inaugurated just a month ago. Its operation was awarded to a private company run by Aslam Qureshi who has now been sent to jail. Investigations are ongoing. High Court Denies Bail to Yaseen ‘Machhli’ In the case of entering the Madhya Pradesh Assembly using a fake entry pass Yaseen Ahmed alias Machhli has suffered a major setback. The Madhya Pradesh High Court rejected his bail plea citing the seriousness of the offence and his criminal background. During the hearing the court noted that Yaseen was also found roaming with a fake Assembly parking pass on his vehicle. After the incident came to light Bhopal’s Arera Hills police registered a case and arrested him. The court observed that such actions pose a serious security threat and cannot be taken lightly at any level. Teacher Accused of Teaching While Intoxicated A disturbing incident has emerged from Khargone district where a government school teacher allegedly came to school drunk. The teacher identified as Keshav Sharde reportedly abused students and made threatening statements during class. Students appeared uncomfortable and several left the school before the final bell. A video of the January 6 incident surfaced on Friday drawing widespread criticism. After students left the teacher was seen staggering outside the school. The incident took place at a government school in Dongarchichli village. Education officials have taken note of the video and are expected to initiate disciplinary action. Suicide Note Names Policeman in Extortion Claim In Maihar’s Amarpatan area a young man named Anantram Patel died by suicide alleging police harassment. His body was found hanging from a tree on Friday morning. Anantram left behind a four-page suicide note and a video both shared on social media. In the note he accused four people including a head constable from Amarpatan police station of threatening him with false cases and extorting ₹5 lakh. The note also mentioned the constable’s phone number. Police have started an investigation and senior officers say a fair probe will be conducted into the serious allegations. Ujjain Uses Unique Method for Traffic Awareness Ujjain traffic police along with the Smart City team have launched a month-long road safety awareness campaign. Instead of issuing fines alone police are gifting Tulsi plants to traffic rule violators. Officials say the idea is to help people remember traffic rules by keeping the plant at home as a reminder. During the campaign helmets are also being sold at 15 percent discounted prices. Police personnel will continue to counsel drivers at major crossings about safety rules. Authorities believe this positive approach will encourage better compliance and reduce accidents while also promoting environmental awareness among citizens. Fog Disrupts Rail Services Across MP Severe cold and dense fog have badly affected rail services in Madhya Pradesh. On Friday morning more than a dozen trains heading towards Bhopal Indore and Ujjain from Delhi were delayed by several hours. The worst affected was Malwa Express running nearly six and a half hours late. The train which usually reaches Bhopal by 7:25 am was expected around 2 pm. Other trains like Punjab Mail Janshatabdi and Sachkhand Express were also delayed. Railway officials said fog reduced visibility forcing trains to run at slow speeds to ensure passenger safety.
