Shivraj Says Fund Collection Campaigns Start Across the Country During Elections At a program on “One Nation One Election” organized at SIRT in Bhopal Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan attended as the chief guest. Before his speech when children started chanting slogans Shivraj joked “Anyway which minister has come here? Ministers come and go but Mama is permanent.” He further said that frequent elections cost around ₹4.5 lakh crore from the treasury for Lok Sabha and Assembly polls. “This comes from the budget but posters banners rallies helicopters cars—all need money. Then donation drives begin across the country; political parties spend separately and when expenses rise funds must be collected” he added. CM Yadav Launches Major Development Projects in Ujjain A major development program was held at the Mandi campus in Unhel Ujjain with Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav as the chief guest. During the event the foundation stone was laid for the Ingoria–Unhel two-lane road. Along with this several other development projects were inaugurated in the region. The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is moving fast in road agriculture and industrial development. He added that the new road will improve connectivity between Ujjain and nearby rural areas and help boost trade. Local residents welcomed the initiative and thanked the Chief Minister. Russian Women’s Dance Video from Ordnance Factory A video from the Ordnance Factory Khamaria in Jabalpur has surfaced showing Russian women dancing inside the factory premises. The video reportedly from September 17 was recorded during Vishwakarma Jayanti celebrations. After the rituals film songs were played on the music system and Russian women along with some employees danced to the song “Pyaar Karne Wale Pyaar Karte Hain” enjoying the festive mood. Attempt to Attack Accused in Toxic Cough Syrup Case An attempt was made to attack accused Govindan Ranganathan during his court appearance in Parasia in connection with the toxic cough syrup deaths. People present shouted slogans like “Hang him!” and “Kill him!” The SIT brought Ranganathan to Parasia under custody. His company Shriram Pharmaceuticals is linked to the batch of cough syrup that caused the deaths of 25 children in Betul and Pandhurna. Meanwhile the Supreme Court rejected a plea seeking a CBI or judicial inquiry into the case which was filed by advocate Vishal Tiwari. Accused Arrested in Communal Clash Case Five accused have been arrested in connection with Thursday evening’s communal clash in Multai Betul district. Cases have been registered against 30 people. Betul SP Virendra Jain suspended two sub-inspectors for negligence while the station in-charge was already sent to the lines. Section 144 has been imposed in the city. The mosque committee announced that people should come for Friday prayers in small groups. The clash erupted after RSS district pracharak Shishupal Yadav was assaulted leading to a violent confrontation between two communities. SDOP and TI Accused of Withholding ₹1.5 Crore Hawala Money In Seoni district Bundol SDOP and the station in-charge have been accused of keeping ₹1.5 crore out of ₹3 crore seized hawala money. Reports show that only ₹1.45 crore was officially recorded and the accused person was released without legal action. Senior officials were not informed. DSP’s Brother-in-Law Dies After Alleged Police Beating A shocking case has emerged in Bhopal’s Piplani area where DSP’s brother-in-law Udit died allegedly after being beaten by police during a late-night party. CCTV footage shows the assault. His friends took the unconscious Udit to AIIMS Hospital where doctors declared him dead. Police however claim that Udit suffered a cardiac arrest due to panic. Nights Turn Cold as Temperature Drops Below 20°C in 22 Cities The nights in Madhya Pradesh have turned colder with temperatures dropping below 20°C in several cities. Rainfall was also recorded in parts of the state; Balaghat’s Malajkhand received about one inch of rain while Umaria Mandla and Seoni saw weather changes.
