CM launches ‘One Garden in Mother’s Name’ scheme In a unique tribute to motherhood Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav launched the ‘One Garden in Mother’s Name’ initiative in Khandwa. Under this ₹900 crore scheme 30000 women farmers will each receive ₹3 lakh in instalments to develop fruit orchards on one acre of land. The plan covers fencing irrigation and plantation. Tree-planting began June 30 and will continue through September. A total of 30 lakh saplings will be planted across 30000 acres. The scheme promotes green cover and empowers rural women through sustainable income opportunities and climate-conscious farming. 337 metric tonnes of toxic waste destroyed in Pithampur A major cleanup milestone in Madhya Pradesh—337 metric tonnes of hazardous waste from the Union Carbide plant in Pithampur has been scientifically destroyed. The process began in February and concluded by June 30 under close monitoring from pollution control boards. What remains is 850 metric tons of ash which will be safely buried in a secure landfill. Another 19.15 metric tons of toxic material is scheduled for destruction by July 3. The Madhya Pradesh government submitted this report to the High Court which will hear the case next on July 31.
