Madhya Pradesh Govt Focuses on Free Education Under RTE The Madhya Pradesh government has repeated its commitment to the effective implementation of the Right to Education Act also known as RTE. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stressed the importance of providing free education to students. Under this initiative the government transferred fee reimbursement money through a single-click system. The move aims to improve access to education and provide more learning opportunities to children. During the programme the new building of the Government Sandipani Excellence School was also inaugurated. The initiative is expected to support students and strengthen the education system in the state. Congress Questions BJP Govt Over 27% OBC Reservation The Congress party has questioned the BJP government over the issue of 27 per cent reservation for Other Backward Classes or OBCs in Madhya Pradesh. The reaction came after the High Courts decision on the reservation issue. Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar and state Congress president Jitu Patwari addressed a press conference. Singhar said the courts decision had disappointed the hopes of the OBC community. He also raised questions about the limited scope of the survey and other reservation-related issues. Singhar asked what steps the state government had taken to strongly present its case before the High Court in support of 27 per cent OBC reservation. Bhopal to Host Swadeshi Fair With Over 200 Stalls Bhopal will host a major Swadeshi Fair from October 23. The 11-day event will be held at MVM Ground near Minto Hall. The fair is being organised jointly by Swadeshi Jagran Manch and Swarnim Bharatvarsh Foundation. Organisers shared the details at a press conference in Bhopal. More than 200 stalls will display Indian products handicrafts and daily-use items. Local artisans weavers small businesses and startups will get an opportunity to display and sell their products. The fair aims to promote local businesses traditional Indian art and culture. It also seeks to encourage young people and women to become self-reliant through business and entrepreneurship. Khan claimed that she received threatening phone calls from Pakistan Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Jammu and Kashmir after the ceremony. She said these threats would not frighten her. Women Protest in Bhopal Over Four Months of Unpaid Wages Thousands of women staged a protest in Bhopal on Saturday over four months of unpaid wages under the Mid-Day Meal and Sanjha Chulha schemes. The protesters sat outside the residence of Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for several hours. They warned the government to clear their pending payments by November 10. The women said they would organise road blockades across all 55 districts of Madhya Pradesh if their demands were not met.
