CM Mohan Yadav Showcases MP as a New Investment Hub Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav presented Madhya Pradesh’s vision for industrial growth investment and modern industrial infrastructure in New Delhi. He attended the third meeting of the Apex Monitoring Authority of the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust. The Chief Minister highlighted the investment opportunities available in Madhya Pradesh and the facilities being provided to industries. He also spoke about industrial corridors and projects being developed with support from both the central and state governments. Dr. Yadav said the state is working to create a business-friendly environment and modern world-class infrastructure for investors. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Union Ministers Sarbananda Sonowal and Piyush Goyal and NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Suman K. Bery were also present at the meeting. Scindia Royal Family Property Dispute The property dispute of the Scindia royal family has once again run into a legal hurdle. The dispute is related to the division of properties worth thousands of crores. A settlement agreement had been prepared with the consent of the family members but the matter is now facing a fresh objection. The case was heard on Monday in the Additional District and Sessions Court. Pratima Devi Rana daughter of late Padmavati Raje who was the elder aunt of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has strongly objected to the settlement. She is also connected to the former royal family of Tripura. The court hearing has once again brought the long-running property dispute into focus. ₹3.02 Crore Cash Seized in Sagar A major cash seizure in Sagar has raised questions about the ownership and source of more than three crore rupees. Police recovered around three crore two lakh fourteen thousand rupees from the house of driver Saurabh Ahirwar in the Tilli Tigadda area under Gopalganj police station. During questioning family members reportedly told police that the money belonged to their relative Ramesh Kumar Ahirwar. They said he had retired as a PWD engineer in Bhopal and is currently working on contract as a CGM with MPRRDA. However Ramesh Ahirwar has denied any connection with the money. Police have seized the entire cash amount. Letters are being sent to the Income Tax Department and other agencies for further investigation. Congress Leaders Fall from Jeep An accident took place during the Congress Kisan Tiranga Yatra in Kantaphod Dewas district on Sunday. Three Congress leaders fell from an open jeep while the group was moving through the town. The incident happened when the leaders reportedly lost their balance and fell onto the road. A video of the incident is now being shared on social media. A woman councillor was taken to Indore for treatment on Monday. More than ten senior Congress leaders were travelling in the jeep. They included former minister Sajjan Singh Verma Dewas district president Manish Chaudhary Indore district president Vipin Wankhede Manoj Rajani and former Bagli Assembly candidate Gopal Gokhale. A party worker was also sitting on the bonnet of the jeep. Teacher Accused of Asking Minor for Liquor A government school teacher in Chhatarpur district has been accused of asking a minor student to bring liquor to school. The teacher is posted at the Government Middle School in Haiderabad. Videos related to the incident have surfaced. In one video a student can be seen carrying a bottle of country-made liquor and hiding it in his pocket. Another video reportedly shows the process of bringing the liquor. The incident is said to have taken place on August 14. The teacher has been identified as Bhagwandas Ahirwar. A dispute also reportedly took place between the teacher and a local youth over the recording of the videos. The teacher’s wife has also been accused of threatening the youth over the phone. Further investigation is expected. Mandakini River Water Level Rises The monsoon has become active again in Madhya Pradesh bringing heavy rain to several areas. The water level of the Mandakini River has risen rapidly after continuous heavy rainfall in the Tarai region of Satna district and Chitrakoot in Uttar Pradesh. By Monday morning all the steps at Ramghat were submerged under water. Floodwater also entered several shops located near the riverbank. Shopkeepers quickly moved their goods to safer places. The administration has issued an alert in the area. Barricades have been placed at several points to stop people from going towards risky locations. SDRF teams have also been deployed as a precaution. Authorities are closely monitoring the river and the situation following the rise in water level.
