CM Mohan Yadav Joins Massive Sanskar Kanwar Yatra Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav joined the Sanskar Kanwar Yatra in Jabalpur during the holy month of Sawan. Thousands of devotees are taking part in the yatra carrying water from the Narmada River to offer it to Lord Shiva. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said he was deeply impressed by the huge gathering of devotees. He said that wherever he looked he could see Kanwariyas moving forward with devotion dedication and faith. The Chief Minister congratulated the Kanwariyas and the people of Jabalpur. He also praised Dada Guru and thousands of devotees taking part in the religious journey. Three State Industrial Security Force Battalions in MP Madhya Pradesh will soon have three new battalions of the State Industrial Security Force or SISF. The force will provide security to industrial units and important establishments across the state. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav made the announcement during a programme at Ravindra Bhavan in Bhopal on Monday. He said one battalion will be set up in Khandwa while locations for the other two will be decided later. The Chief Minister also announced special companies for the Baiga Bharia and Saharia tribal communities. Young people from these particularly backward tribal groups will get opportunities to join these companies. Jitu Patwari Targets Govt of ‘Cheating’ People Over Ethanol Blending Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari has attacked the government over ethanol blending in petrol. Speaking in Chhindwara on Monday Patwari alleged that the government is cheating people by mixing ethanol with petrol. He questioned the government’s policies on fuel availability and said the people of the country deserve clear answers. Patwari also claimed that some BJP MPs have raised questions about ethanol from public platforms. He said the issue should be discussed openly and the government must explain its policy to the people. Patwari further said that Congress needs to return to power to save the country. Lord Mahakaleshwar’s Sawari in Ujjain A grand religious procession of Lord Mahakaleshwar was taken out in Ujjain on the second Monday of the holy month of Sawan. The procession started at around 4 PM on Monday evening. Lord Chandramouleshwar the form of Lord Shiva was placed in a palanquin and taken through the city. Before the procession priests performed special prayers and rituals at the Mahakaleshwar Temple. Devotees gathered in large numbers to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. The temple premises also witnessed a special band performance. Mahakaleshwar is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and the Sawan Mondays are considered especially important for Shiva devotees. Car Swept Away in Drain Nine Dead in Rajgarh A tragic accident has taken place in Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh where an Eco van was swept away by strong water currents in a drain. Nine people including three children and two women died in the accident. Two young men managed to save their lives by swimming out of the vehicle. The accident took place on Monday morning at around 9:30 AM near Padana town on the Pachore-Sarangpur road. The incident has caused shock and grief in the area. The accident also highlights the danger of crossing flooded roads and drains during heavy rainfall. 50-Year-Old Elephant Dies at Satpura Tiger Reserve A 50-year-old female elephant named Smita has died at Satpura Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh. The incident took place in the Churna area of the reserve. Officials said this was the first reported case of a fight between elephants at the location. Smita was injured during the fight with another elephant. Her condition became serious and she died on Monday evening at around 5 PM. Wildlife doctors were not present at the spot at that time. According to officials the elephant died before treatment could begin. The incident has raised concern among wildlife officials and people following the reserve’s elephant population. Heavy Rain Creates Flood-Like Situation in Bhopal and MP A strong rain system has created flood-like conditions in several parts of Madhya Pradesh. Bhopal has been badly affected with water entering railway tracks a temple a police station and residential areas. Around 200 houses in Semra were surrounded by five to six feet of water leaving many people trapped inside their homes. Bhopal recorded around seven inches of rain in the last 24 hours. Roads have also been blocked in parts of Sehore and Shajapur due to flooding. In Raisen a bridge was washed away. The Betwa and Kalisindh rivers are also flowing above normal levels. In Vidisha 17 people including children were rescued from floodwater.
