CJI Surya Kant Says Law Alone Cannot Ensure Justice Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant said that simply making laws is not enough to ensure justice for common people. He said there should be no distance between the justice system and the public. When a needy person seeks legal help their problem should first be heard with respect and understanding. Speaking at the West Regional Conference in Indore Justice Surya Kant said every region has different problems so solutions should also be based on local needs. He stressed that people must be made aware of their legal rights and services in their local language. CM Mohan Yadav Offers Prayers at Mahakaleshwar Temple Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain on Friday during the holy month of Shravan. He entered the temple’s sanctum and offered prayers to Lord Mahakaleshwar and Nandi ji. The Chief Minister also attended the Shayan Aarti and took part in the devotion by playing the traditional instrument. He also spoke to devotees and asked about the arrangements for darshan at the temple. Mahakaleshwar Temple Committee officials welcomed him and presented him with a traditional cloth and a memento. The visit took place amid the ongoing religious celebrations in Shravan. Shameful Negligence With Dead Body in Chhatarpur A shocking case has raised questions over the health system in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur district. A video showing a dead body being taken in a garbage vehicle from Badamalhara Community Health Centre has gone viral. The incident has caused concern among officials and the health department. Following the video the Chief Medical and Health Officer has asked the Block Medical Officer to submit a detailed report. Officials said the matter will be investigated. If negligence is found responsibility will be fixed against those involved. The incident has raised serious questions about the treatment and dignity given to dead bodies in government hospitals. Lokayukta Raids Five Locations Linked to Jabalpur Clerk The Madhya Pradesh Lokayukta has carried out raids at five locations linked to a government clerk in Jabalpur. Searches were conducted in Jabalpur Seoni and other places. According to the Lokayukta property worth around six crore twenty-five lakh rupees has been found. The assets include houses plots and a farmhouse. Officials claim the property is around 500 times more than the person’s known income. During the raids several documents and details of properties were found. The authorities are now checking the records and documents collected during the operation. Further action will depend on the findings of the investigation. AIIMS Bhopal Gets New Executive Director AIIMS Bhopal is set to get a new Executive Director. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Lieutenant General Retired Narendra Kotwal as the Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training his appointment has been made on a contractual basis. The appointment is expected to bring permanent leadership to the institute. It may also lead to important changes in the administrative functioning of AIIMS Bhopal. The new Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing the institution’s administration and helping improve its overall functioning and management. Rain Continues in More Than 20 MP Districts Rain was recorded in more than 20 districts of Madhya Pradesh during the last 24 hours. Narsinghpur received the highest rainfall at around three inches. Sheopur recorded 2.8 inches while Rewa received 2.2 inches of rain. Rain was also reported from Shivpuri Sidhi Narmadapuram Balaghat Chhatarpur Sagar Guna Raisen and Mandla. Several other districts including Gwalior Datia Tikamgarh Umaria Chhindwara Jabalpur Satna and Shajapur also received rainfall. The continued rain has brought relief from the heat in many areas while authorities are keeping an eye on weather conditions across the state.
