CM Reviews Preparations for Simhastha 2028 Chief Minister Mohan Yadav visited Ujjain and started a workshop on preparations for Simhastha 2028. He said the religious fair could welcome nearly 400 million pilgrims making it the worlds biggest gathering. The government wants to complete all important work before the event. The Chief Minister said strong public facilities will be available so visitors will not depend only on private hotels. He also asked officials to improve hotels dhabas and other services on roads up to 100 kilometers from Ujjain. Better transport safety food and accommodation will help pilgrims during the festival. Digvijaya Singh Demands FIR Against Champat Rai Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh demanded an FIR against Champat Rai the General Secretary of the Ram Temple Trust. Speaking in Ujjain he referred to allegations of theft involving temple donations and accused Rai of corruption. Singh also criticized the Central Government the RSS and the VHP over the issue. He said the Ram Temple Trust was formed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi so the government should also take responsibility. No official action or response from the trust regarding Singhs demand was reported immediately. Kailash Vijayvargiyas Remarks on RSS Urban Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya made comments about the RSS during a public event. He said many people now claim to have worked with the RSS including government officers. According to him after the party came to power several officials said they had been associated with the organization in the past. He joked that the number of people had increased but good workers were still needed. His remarks have drawn political attention and are being discussed in state politics. Video Shows Clash During Muharram Procession A new video has surfaced from Ujjain showing violence during a Muharram procession. The video is said to be from the Nai Sadak area on June 25. It shows some young men standing with sticks. As the procession moves forward they are seen attacking people. Earlier another incident involving a car blast during the procession had also been reported. Police are examining the video and investigating the incidents to identify those involved and take legal action. Elderly Couple Shot Dead in Bhopal An elderly couple was found shot dead at their home in Bhopal. The victims were 64-year-old Hemant Barik a retired railway employee and his 62-year-old wife Shakuntala Barik a retired nurse. Both were shot in the head. Police Commissioner Sanjay Kumar said early investigation does not suggest robbery or dacoity. Officers are checking all possible reasons behind the double murder. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and police are questioning family members and neighbors as the investigation continues. Lightning Kills Two People in Madhya Pradesh Lightning claimed two lives in Madhya Pradesh. In Sehore an 18-year-old boy died after lightning struck while he was sitting with his mother and using a mobile phone. In Pandhurna a farmer working in a field was also killed by lightning. Heavy rain affected several areas of the state. In Ratlam just 30 minutes of rain flooded roads and an underbridge causing traffic problems. Authorities have advised people to stay indoors and avoid open areas during thunderstorms.
