CM Appeals Citizens to Join Online Yoga Session Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has appealed to all citizens of Madhya Pradesh to participate in a special online yoga session on June 14. Indore Official Found With 241% More Assets Than Income Lokayukta officials have claimed that Indore-based Joint Director of the Women and Child Development Department Laxmi Narayan Kandwal owns assets worth 241 percent more than his known sources of income. A raid was conducted at his residence and business locations on June 10. During the search officials reportedly found a modern gym and a supermarket among his properties. He is accused of accumulating wealth through corruption linked to mid-day meal schemes Anganwadi repairs contractor payments and departmental work. The investigation lasted for nearly one and a half months before the action was taken. Water Tanker Runs Over Vehicles in Indore A municipal corporation water tanker went out of control on Patel Bridge in Indore on Thursday afternoon causing panic among commuters. Witnesses said people ran for safety when they saw the tanker moving uncontrollably toward them. The tanker hit several cars and motorcycles injuring four people. Preliminary reports suggest that the accident occurred due to brake failure. The tanker continued crashing into vehicles before finally stopping. Angry locals damaged the tanker after the accident. The injured were taken for medical treatment and authorities have started investigating the incident and the condition of the vehicle. BJP Wins All Three Rajya Sabha Seats Unopposed The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has secured all three Rajya Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh without any contest. The Election Commission officially handed over certificates of election to BJP candidates Rajneesh Agrawal Tarun Chugh and Mahesh Kewat on Thursday. Earlier the Supreme Court postponed hearing a Congress petition challenging the rejection of candidate Meenakshi Natarajan’s nomination. The Election Commission had also not issued a decision on the matter. As a result BJP’s victory on all three seats became certain. The outcome further strengthens the party’s position in the Upper House of Parliament. Protest After Employee Dies at Satna Factory Tension erupted at the Universal Cables Limited (UCL) factory in Satna after an employee died during duty on Thursday. The deceased Satya Prakash Tiwari worked as a laboratory technician at the factory. Doctors initially reported that he died due to a heart attack. However his family members accused the factory management of negligence and demanded a proper investigation. Following the death workers and relatives staged a protest inside the factory premises. The incident led to a heated situation and authorities were called to maintain order. Further investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances of the death. Storm and Rain Alert in 34 Districts of MP The Meteorological Department has issued a storm and rain alert for 34 districts of Madhya Pradesh including Gwalior and Jabalpur. Pre-monsoon activity has intensified across the state due to a trough and cyclonic circulation system. More than 20 districts experienced changing weather conditions on Wednesday. Officials have warned of strong winds blowing at speeds of 40 to 60 kilometers per hour along with rainfall in many areas. Residents have been advised to stay alert and avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather conditions. The changing weather is expected to continue over the next few days.
