Farmers to Camp in Ujjain Against Land-Pooling Act Farmers in Ujjain are preparing for a major protest against the land-pooling scheme connected to the Simhastha land. The Indian Kisan Sangh which has been opposing the plan for the past eight months has announced that over one thousand farmers will gather outside the Collector’s office from Tuesday. They say they will stay there until their demands are met. Farmers will bring food water and fuel to continue the protest for several days. The union’s convener Bharat Singh Base said farmers from Ujjain and nearby districts will join the movement and camp in the city. Chief Minister Attends Former Minister’s Family Wedding in Gwalior Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav reached Gwalior on Monday to attend a wedding at the home of former state minister Lal Singh Arya. The CM met the family and blessed the bride Priyanka and the groom during the ceremony. Speaking to the media at the airport Dr. Yadav said that the NDA’s victory in Bihar is the result of strong leadership. He also added that leaders who disappear during elections should learn a lesson from this result. The visit became a major highlight of the wedding celebrations. 122 IAS Officers from MP Called for Training in Mussoorie The Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy has called 122 IAS officers from Madhya Pradesh including 39 district collectors and one divisional commissioner for a training program to be held from January 5 to January 30. A letter has been sent to the Chief Secretary asking for timely registration and relieving of these officers. However it is expected that the 39 collectors may not attend the training due to strict Election Commission guidelines. Since the state elections are a priority the government is unlikely to release them for the mid-career training at this time. MP Encourages Young Players by Joining Kabaddi Match in Sidhi In Sidhi the ‘Seva Pakhwada’ celebrations began with great excitement as the MP-level sports festival kicked off. The event will run from September 21 to December 25. Sidhi MP Dr. Rajesh Mishra led the torch rally himself showing strong enthusiasm. Students from many schools participated and displayed great energy. The rally moved through major roads of the city and residents welcomed participants with claps cheering and showering flowers. Bajrang Dal Workers Enter Spa in Indore; Police Files Case On Sunday evening in Rajendra Nagar Indore Bajrang Dal members entered a spa center claiming that illegal activities were being carried out by a young woman from a particular community. Soon after the information reached the police a team rushed to the spot. The officials checked the premises and registered a preventive FIR against all the people involved. Police said the matter is under investigation and further action will be taken after verifying the claims made by the group. Bhopal Schools Not to Start Before 8:30 AM Due to Cold Wave Madhya Pradesh is facing severe cold and children are struggling to reach school early in the morning. Due to this the Bhopal District Education Officer has issued an order that all schools must begin classes for Nursery to Class 8 only after 8:30 AM. In Indore the temperature dropped to 7.2 degrees on Sunday night. Collector Shivam Verma also changed school timings to 9 AM starting November 18. Officials say the decision has been taken to protect children’s health during the ongoing cold wave.
