New BJP In-Charge Reaches Bhopal Office Key Meeting Begins Former Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb the new BJP in-charge for Madhya Pradesh reached the BJP office in Bhopal on Wednesday. State co-in-charge Rekha Verma also reached the office. This is their first major visit after getting new responsibilities in the state. Several senior Madhya Pradesh BJP leaders also reached the office for a meeting. Before the meeting Biplab Kumar Deb visited the Gufa Mandir in Bhopal and offered prayers to Lord Hanuman. Rekha Verma and Bhopal MP Alok Sharma were also present there. Deb and Verma have recently been given key organisational responsibilities in Madhya Pradesh. Congress Protests Against Chief Election Commissioner Madhya Pradesh Congress held protests on Wednesday demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Protests were reported in several districts of the state. In Pandhurna protesters tied an effigy with a chain and dragged it for around 500 feet. In Dewas a symbolic funeral procession was taken out while in Betul protesters hanged an effigy. There were clashes with police in Indore. Water cannons were used in Jabalpur Bhind Sagar Damoh and Mandla. In Gwalior and Chhatarpur protesters tried to enter government offices after crossing barricades. The protests are linked to the ongoing SIR voter-list revision issue. Woman Allegedly Beats Student Near MP Govt Car A student was allegedly beaten by a woman near the Mukherjee Nagar Gate in Raisen on Wednesday afternoon. According to the report the woman arrived in a red Tata Altroz car and stopped in front of the students scooter. An argument followed after which the woman allegedly assaulted the student. The entire incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed nearby. The car reportedly had “Madhya Pradesh Government” written on it. The student was returning home from an electricity company office when the incident happened. The video is being examined as part of the investigation into the incident. Doctors Protest Over Pending Ayushman Payments Private hospital doctors treating patients under the Ayushman Bharat scheme staged a protest in Bhopal on Wednesday. The doctors reached the Ayushman scheme office at the JP Hospital campus and raised slogans over pending payments. They said payments for treatment provided under the scheme have not been received for around six months. The protest was held under the banner of the Private Hospital Association. The doctors also demanded the immediate removal of NBHS. Hospitals need the required certification to become eligible for treatment under the scheme. The protesting doctors said the delay in payments is creating problems for private hospitals providing treatment to Ayushman beneficiaries. Dhirendra Shastri Faces Controversy Over ‘Bhaiya-Saiyan’ Remark Bageshwar Dham chief Dhirendra Krishna Shastris remarks during his event in Ludhiana have led to controversy. His five-day religious programme ended on Wednesday. After the event a Christian community leader submitted a complaint to Ludhiana Police and demanded an FIR against Shastri. Punjabs Shahi Imam has also objected to the remarks and called for an emergency meeting on Wednesday night. The controversy is linked to a statement about the use of the words “Bhaiya” and “Saiyan”. The Shahi Imam has demanded an apology from Shastri. Police and authorities are looking into the complaints and reactions surrounding the statement. Five IPS and Three SPS Officers Transferred The Madhya Pradesh Home Department has transferred eight police officers. The list includes five IPS officers and three State Police Service officers. IPS officers from the 2023 batch have been promoted from posts such as SDOP and CSP to Additional Superintendent of Police. Among the State Police Service officers transferred one has been made an Additional SP while two others have been posted at the Police Headquarters. The changes have affected several districts. Additional SP-level postings have been changed in Shajapur Khandwa Jabalpur and Gwalior. The transfer order was issued by the state government on Wednesday. Retired IAS Officer Found Murdered in Bhopal Retired IAS officer Rakesh Agrawal was found dead inside his home in Bhopals Suraj Nagar on Wednesday morning. Police said his throat had been cut with a sharp weapon. His body was found inside a bedroom. Police and forensic teams reached the house and started an investigation. A caretaker who had been hired only a few days earlier is missing after the incident. Police are searching for him and checking CCTV footage. An LPG gas leak was also found in the house raising suspicion that an attempt may have been made to cause an explosion. The exact motive behind the murder is not yet known. MP Weather: Sunny Day Temperatures Around 31–34°C Madhya Pradesh is likely to see mostly clear and sunny weather on Wednesday. In Bhopal the temperature is expected to remain between 22 and 31 degrees Celsius. Jabalpur will also see temperatures around 22 to 31 degrees. In Indore the minimum temperature is around 20 degrees while the maximum may reach 33 degrees. Ujjain may record 19 to 34 degrees Celsius. Most areas are likely to remain dry with no major rain expected. Indore has also recorded an unusually low September temperature recently. The monsoon season is ending in the state while some areas may still see light showers.
