“Dengue Doesn’t Kill”: BJP MP Kulaste After AIIMS Treatment BJP MP from Mandla Faggan Singh Kulaste returned to Mandla after being discharged from Delhi AIIMS. Kulaste had been diagnosed with dengue and was treated at the hospital for seven days. He said there was no need to panic about dengue. Kulaste said “Dengue does not kill anyone. I am standing before you.” He said he had fallen ill and left Mandla for Delhi on September 18. Tests at AIIMS confirmed dengue. After treatment his health improved and he returned home. Kulaste said he is now feeling well and advised people not to be afraid of dengue. Congress Workers Climb Barricades Police Use Water Cannon Congress workers staged a protest in Bhopal against the Special Intensive Revision or SIR of voter lists. The protest was led by Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Jitu Patwari. Congress workers reached the office of the Chief Electoral Officer and tried to surround it. Congress alleged that a large number of voters are being removed from the electoral rolls through the SIR process. During the protest police and workers had a heated confrontation. Some workers tried to climb over barricades. Police used water cannons to stop them. Later the protesters were taken away in buses. Ujjain Mosque Petition Rejected by High Court The Madhya Pradesh High Court has rejected a petition related to the Shahi Masjid in Ujjain. The court heard all sides before disposing of the case based on an agreement between the district administration and the mosque committee. Advocate Kuldeep Pathak representing the Shahi Masjid committee said an agreement has been reached to remove some shops and three feet of the structure for road widening. He said the large minaret will be shifted to another side. The administration will also provide another location for the shops. Road widening work is being carried out in Ujjain for the 2028 Simhastha. Ujjain Mosque Area Being Removed for Simhastha Road Work Road widening work is underway in Ujjain ahead of the 2028 Simhastha festival. Ujjain Collector Roshan Kumar Singh said the affected portion of the Shahi Masjid at Chhatri Chowk is being removed voluntarily by members of the community. The collector said he and Superintendent of Police Pradeep Sharma held a meeting with community representatives on Sunday night. It was decided that members of the community would remove the portions of the mosque that fall within the road widening area. The road projects are being carried out to improve traffic and infrastructure in the city before the major religious event in 2028. High Court Stops Arrest of Bhopal Lawyer Rakesh Rawal The Madhya Pradesh High Court has ordered an interim stay on further action in an FIR against Bhopal lawyer Rakesh Rawal. The case is related to allegations of assault inside a police station in Jahangirabad. The matter came before a bench headed by Justice Himanshu Joshi on Monday. The court directed the police not to arrest Rawal for now. It also ordered that seven hours of CCTV footage related to the incident be preserved. The court said the footage would help in finding out what actually happened. The case will be heard further by the High Court. Bhagirathpura Death Report to Be Uploaded Online The Madhya Pradesh High Court has ordered that the inquiry report into 36 deaths in Indore’s Bhagirathpura area be uploaded online. The deaths were linked to contaminated water in the area. The matter came up for hearing in the Indore High Court on Monday. The court considered applications submitted by lawyers representing the petitioners in public interest litigation cases. The inquiry commission was headed by retired Justice Sushil Gupta. The court directed that its report should be made available online. The move will allow the public to access the findings of the inquiry into the deaths. Workers Reach BJP Office Demanding Minimum Wage Temporary workers part-time employees watchmen and contract workers reached the BJP state office in Bhopal on Monday demanding minimum wages. The workers said they currently earn between Rs 3000 and Rs 8000 per month. They staged a protest near the statue of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya outside the BJP office and raised slogans. Police later removed them from the spot. The workers then took out a rally towards the Board Office area. The protest was held under the “Minimum Wage Hunger Strike Movement”. They said they wanted the BJP state president to recall a minimum wage promise made by former Chief Minister Uma Bharti in 2003. Asian Games Medalist Jai Meena Gets Grand Welcome Asian Games bronze medalist Jai Meena received a warm welcome in Dewas on Monday. Jai returned from Japan after winning a bronze medal in soft tennis for India. A rally was organised through several parts of the city to celebrate his achievement. Jai travelled in an open jeep as people welcomed him with flowers and garlands. School students also raised slogans and cheered for him. Speaking at the event Jai Meena said the medal does not belong to him alone but to the entire country. He also said India won its first medal in soft tennis at the Asian Games. MP Records 37.7 Inches of Rain This Season The southwest monsoon is expected to start withdrawing from Madhya Pradesh within a week. According to the India Meteorological Department in Bhopal no district in the state is expected to receive extremely heavy or heavy rain during the next four days. From Tuesday bright sunshine is expected in the Ujjain Indore and Gwalior-Chambal divisions. The state recorded an average of 37.7 inches of rain till Sunday. This is 95.8 percent of the seasonal rainfall quota. The state needs only a little more rain to enter the normal rainfall category. Even light rain in the next few days could complete the target.
