Black Flags Shown During Scindia’s Speech in Gwalior Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia faced a protest during a hostel foundation ceremony in Gwalior on Monday. The event was held at the Kushwaha Hostel in Bela Ki Bawdi. During Scindia’s speech some people showed him black flags. A dispute then broke out between Scindia’s supporters and the protesters. Police reached the spot after the situation became tense and took the protesters to the police station. The protesters were reportedly supporters of Gwalior MP Bharat Singh Kushwaha. They said the land was allotted for the Kushwaha community so a community leader should have been invited as the chief guest. MP Foundation Day to Focus on Farmers and Agriculture Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day on November 1 will focus on agriculture and farmers’ welfare. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said 2026 is being observed as the Year of Farmer Welfare under the theme “Prosperous Farmers Prosperous State.” He directed officials to organise exhibitions on modern farming natural farming and agricultural innovation. Farmers entrepreneurs and young people who bring innovation and achieve success in agriculture will also be honoured. The Chief Minister gave these directions during a meeting at the state secretariat. Senior government officials including Chief Secretary Ashok Barnwal and other senior officers attended the meeting. BJP Leader Rides Scooter Inside Hospital CCTV Captures A BJP leader was seen riding a scooter inside a community health centre in Tikamgarh Madhya Pradesh. The incident took place at Khargapur Community Health Centre. BJP Mandal General Secretary Prashant Shukla was reportedly riding the scooter with his friend sitting behind him. A security guard tried to stop him but he continued riding on the ramp used by elderly people patients and persons with disabilities. The incident was captured on CCTV. According to reports it happened on September 18 while the CCTV footage came out on September 21. The video shows the scooter entering and quickly returning. Vijayvargiya’s Comment on Woman Councillor Sparks Controversy Madhya Pradesh Urban Administration Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya has faced criticism over a comment about woman councillor Sandhya Yadav. The incident happened in Indore on Sunday. Vijayvargiya first praised Yadav for her work and then commented that her “width” had increased. Leaders sitting on the stage were seen laughing after the comment. A video of the incident has now gone viral. Vijayvargiya also said that Yadav works hard but gets angry quickly. He said that although she may scold people she is good-hearted and people should not take her words badly. Akhlaq Killing Discussed During Bhopal Mob Lynching Event Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh mentioned the Akhlaq case during a discussion on mob lynching in Bhopal. Speaking at Gandhi Bhawan on Monday Singh referred to the killing of Akhlaq and said he was attacked after an allegation that the meat kept in his refrigerator was cow meat. Singh said society should speak up against mob lynching and condemn such incidents. The discussion was organised around senior journalist Dayashankar Mishra’s book “Akhlaq: A Detailed Ground Report on Mob Lynching in India.” The event focused on mob violence and its impact on society. Officer Suspended After ₹60000 Bribery Allegation An Agriculture Ministry official has been suspended after a serious complaint of alleged bribery in Madhya Pradesh. The action was taken after Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan received the complaint. During an inspection in Sehore district the official was accused of demanding ₹60000 to release a subsidy amount for a warehouse. The official identified as Agriculture Ministry Marketing Officer Anurag has been suspended with immediate effect. The action comes after allegations that money was demanded in return for releasing the subsidy. The case has drawn attention during the minister’s inspection of agricultural facilities in the district. Indore Road Suddenly Collapses Creates 10-Foot-Deep Pit A major part of a cemented road collapsed in Indore on Monday morning. The incident happened in front of the Pandhrinath police station. The road collapse created a pit more than 10 feet deep. Fortunately no vehicle was passing through the area at that time so no accident was reported. The Municipal Corporation received information about the incident at around 11 AM. Soon after a team reached the spot with a JCB machine. Officials started work to repair the damaged road. The incident has raised concerns about road safety in the area. Heavy Rain Alert in MP From September 24 Madhya Pradesh is expected to see another spell of rain before the southwest monsoon withdraws. The weather department has issued an alert for heavy rain in several parts of the state from September 24. Light rain and drizzle are expected to continue before that. Madhya Pradesh has received around 33.9 inches of rainfall so far this monsoon season. This is nearly 91 percent of the state’s seasonal rainfall target. The latest weather system may bring more rain to several districts. People in areas under the heavy rain alert have been advised to stay updated about weather conditions.
