7400 Meritorious Students Receive Scooters in MP More than 7400 meritorious students in Madhya Pradesh received scooters under the Chief Minister Scooty Scheme. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav distributed the scooters at a state-level programme held at Subhash School in Bhopal on Saturday. He said it is the responsibility of families society and the government to recognise students for their hard work and achievements. The Chief Minister said no talented student should stop progressing because of financial problems or lack of resources. Under the scheme students must score at least 70 percent marks in Class 12 in their first attempt and secure the first position in their school. He said the scooters are also a reward for students’ dedication and an encouragement for their future CM Mohan Yadav Attends Youth Parliament in Ujjain Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav attended the closing programme of the Youth Parliament in Ujjain. During his address the Chief Minister spoke about Lord Ram Lord Krishna and Dronacharya and shared lessons from their lives with the young audience. He also mentioned former Prime Ministers Rajiv Gandhi and Dr. Manmohan Singh while speaking about accountability in governance and administration. Dr. Yadav said that when there is carelessness or weakness in the system it affects the government and the entire administrative structure. He urged young people to understand their responsibilities and contribute to the country. The programme brought together young participants for discussions on religion society leadership and public life. 354 Persons With Disabilities Get Benefits in Satna A free service programme for persons with disabilities and a workers’ conference were organised at BTI Ground in Satna on Saturday. The event was held under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. Panchayat and Rural Development and Labour and Employment Minister Prahlad Patel distributed tricycles and other assistive devices to beneficiaries. A total of 354 persons with disabilities received benefits during the programme. Around 22000 assistive devices were distributed as part of the initiative. Minister of State Pratima Bagri Chitrakoot MLA Surendra Singh Gaharwar and Satna Mayor Yogesh Tamrakar were also present. The programme focused on providing support and useful equipment to persons with disabilities and helping them lead more independent lives. Rahul Gandhi Says System Does Not Want Students to Ask Questions Congress leader Rahul Gandhi addressed the ‘Students Ki Goonj’ programme in Indore and interacted with students. During a question-and-answer session he said the system does not want students to ask questions. He alleged that this is why it creates what he called “blind followers.” Rahul Gandhi also said that students have lost trust in the system although he added that candidates are also responsible in some places. During the interaction some students sitting in the audience responded to him and said “Sir we have lost to the system.” The programme focused on students education and their concerns about the existing system. Rahul Gandhi’s remarks drew attention during the event. Imarti Devi Calls People on Stage ‘Murderers’ Former Madhya Pradesh minister Imarti Devi made strong remarks during a programme in Gwalior. She called people sitting on the stage “murderers” and “accused in murder cases.” The programme was organised under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan at Jalsa Garden. It was called the ‘Mera Sapno Ka Bharat—Chitra Seva’ programme. BJP MP Bharat Singh Kushwaha had invited Imarti Devi to the stage but she did not go there. Instead she remained seated among the workers. Her picture was also not present on the banner installed on the stage. The remarks became a major talking point during the event. The programme was attended by several leaders and workers. Fake Facebook Account Created in Bhopal Collector’s Name A fake Facebook account has been created in the name of Bhopal Collector Priyank Mishra. The district administration informed people about the fake account through its official social media account. The administration advised people not to follow the account and not to respond to any messages sent from it. The fake account has been created in the name “Priyank Mishra IAS.” A photograph on the account shows Collector Priyank Mishra along with ADM Sumit Pandey and District Panchayat CEO Ila Tiwari. The administration has warned people to remain careful and avoid interacting with the fake profile. Citizens have been asked to rely only on official government accounts for verified information. Car Swept Away in Flooded Drain 8 Killed Eight people died after a car was swept away by a rainwater drain near the Maa Baglamukhi Temple in Nalkheda Agar-Malwa Madhya Pradesh. The accident happened when the vehicle was passing through the overflowing drain. The deceased include three children two women and three men. Seven of the victims were from Odisha while the driver Arun Goyal was a resident of Barod in Agar-Malwa district. According to the information available the group had travelled from Ujjain and hired the car to visit the Maa Baglamukhi Temple. The accident occurred near the temple as the drain was carrying a strong flow of rainwater. Rescue and relief operations followed the incident.
