Bhagwat Says Ego Can Create a False Sense of Control RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat addressed the Youth Dharma Parliament in Ujjain on Friday. Around 1700 young people from across India are taking part in the event. Bhagwat spoke about religion the environment youth behaviour and India’s relations with its neighbours. Without naming Pakistan he referred to its attitude towards India. Bhagwat said some people become arrogant and start believing that everything is under their control and must happen according to their wishes. He said this creates misunderstanding. He urged young people to understand the principles of Dharma and follow them in their daily lives. Shankar Shah and Raghunath Shah’s Sacrifice to Be Taught in Schools Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced on Friday that the sacrifice of Raja Shankar Shah and Kunwar Raghunath Shah will be taught in schools. The two tribal leaders were important figures of the 1857 uprising. The Chief Minister paid tribute to them in Jabalpur on their martyrdom day. He said the place where they were martyred will be preserved. A documentary on their lives will also be prepared. Yadav said their story will inspire future generations with patriotism and self-respect. The government wants students to learn about their contribution and sacrifice. High Court Seeks Government Reply on Ladli Behna Scheme A public interest petition has been filed in the Gwalior High Court seeking to stop the Ladli Behna scheme in Madhya Pradesh and end the monthly assistance of ₹1500 given to women. The petition was filed by former Gwalior Congress councillor Sudha Dubey. The court has issued a notice to the Women and Child Development Department and asked for a reply within four weeks. The petitioner has called the scheme unconstitutional and said women should get jobs skill training and self-employment opportunities instead. The court also directed the government to provide the list of beneficiaries and share the petition with them. Further hearing will take place after the government’s reply. Youth Place Dead Cow in Municipal Office A group of young people protested in Gohad town of Bhind district after an injured cow died on Friday. The cow had reportedly been lying injured in Baba Kapoor’s lane for three days. After learning about its death the youths placed the cow’s body on a local vehicle and took it through the main roads in a procession. They then reached the municipal office and raised slogans against the civic administration. The youths later placed the cow’s body inside the Chief Municipal Officer’s chamber. The incident created tension at the office for some time. UPI Payments Above ₹2000 Face Protest Petrol pump dealers and traders in Madhya Pradesh are protesting against merchant fees on UPI transactions above ₹2000. The Madhya Pradesh Petrol Pump Dealers Association has decided not to accept UPI payments for bills above ₹2000 from October 16. Meanwhile the Indore Retail Garments Association started a poster campaign on Friday. Traders have also announced a “No UPI Day” on September 23. The groups are opposing the charges linked to such digital payments. The decision could affect customers who regularly use UPI for larger purchases at petrol pumps and shops. Farmer Finds 4.70-Carat Diamond Worth ₹15 Lakh A farmer and his five partners have found a 4.70-carat gem-quality diamond in Panna district of Madhya Pradesh. Officials of the Diamond Office said the diamond could be worth around ₹15 lakh. Farmer Badri Patel said he and his partners had been working in diamond mines for more than ten years but had not found success. This time they started a new mine in the Pati area with Ram Chandra Dubey Ratan Yadav Ram Gopal Patel Pahalwan Otal and Bheekam Patel. After digging for about 15 days they found the diamond. Rain Likely in Madhya Pradesh Till September 21 The southwest monsoon has entered its final phase in Madhya Pradesh. The monsoon is expected to begin withdrawing from the state in the last week of September. Before that another spell of rain is likely. Rain was reported in several parts of Bhopal including Kolar on Friday morning. Weather expert Shailendra Kumar Nayak said monsoon activity is still continuing. He said several areas may receive rain thunderstorms and strong winds until September 21. According to the seven-day forecast rainfall activity will continue from September 18 to 21 and may reduce from September 22.
