Teachers Stop Shivraj’s Convoy in Bhopal Teacher recruitment candidates on a hunger strike for 12 days stopped Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s convoy in Bhopal on Friday. The Class-1 candidates are demanding more posts and a second counselling round. Near Neelam Park they gave Shivraj a memorandum and said the recruitment process started during his government so he should help them. Meanwhile Class-2 and Class-3 candidates also stopped Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav’s convoy and raised the same demand for more posts. The protesting candidates said they will continue their protest until the government takes a clear decision on their demands. CM Mohan Yadav Celebrates Janmashtami with Children Janmashtami celebrations began across Bhopal on Friday with prayers and religious programmes in temples. A colourful Lord Krishna procession was taken out from Barkhedi to Shabban Square. At the Chief Minister’s residence more than 101 children dressed as Radha and Krishna joined the celebrations. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav broke a traditional matki with the children and gave them butter and sweets. Cultural programmes are also being organised at 111 places across 55 districts of Madhya Pradesh under the Shri Krishna Parv celebrations. People gathered in large numbers to celebrate the festival with devotion and joy. Armed Robbers Loot ₹40 Lakh in Mauganj Armed robbers allegedly looted around ₹40 lakh from a woman in Madhya Pradesh’s Mauganj district. The incident happened late Thursday night in Tiliya village. According to the victim Baby Sahu the robbers entered her home by pretending to buy medicine. They held her hostage in front of her minor son. The accused allegedly threatened her with a sword sharp weapon and revolver. They also stuffed cloth into her mouth so she could not shout for help. Her husband was away at the time. Police have started an investigation and are searching for the accused. ₹3000 Reward Accused Arrested in Bhopal Bhopal’s Nishatpura Police have arrested a wanted accused carrying a reward of ₹3000. The accused known as Lambu alias Nafees was allegedly absconding in a case related to suspected cow slaughter activities. Police said he was hiding since the case came to light on July 17 2026. According to officials the accused allegedly used a dairy business as a cover for illegal activities. The Nishatpura Police were searching for him with the help of technical evidence and local informers. After receiving important information about his location police arrested him. Further investigation in the case is continuing. Bhadbhada Dam Gate Opened as Heavy Rain Continues Heavy rain continued in many parts of Madhya Pradesh on Friday forcing authorities to open one gate of Bhopal’s Bhadbhada Dam. Rain was also reported in Indore and Sehore while Shajapur and Sheopur received heavy rainfall. Many rivers and streams are flowing at dangerous levels. The Mandakini River in Chitrakoot is above the danger mark. Two young men were swept away in separate incidents in Sheopur and Shivpuri. Due to heavy rain schools will remain closed until September 5. Floodwater also entered the Home Guard office in Panna damaging important government records and emergency materials.
