CM Mohan Yadav’s Big Gift: ₹304 Crore for 1.21 Lakh Students Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav transferred ₹25000 each to 121804 meritorious Class 12 students under the Talented Student Incentive Scheme. The money was given to help students buy laptops. The total amount transferred was more than ₹304 crore. The programme was held at Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre in Bhopal. The Chief Minister also interacted with students and encouraged them to dream big. He said knowledge and skills are two important friends of success. He advised students not to fear challenges and not to lose hope after failure. Ten students also received laptops on stage. Gwalior to Host Grand Farmers’ Event A grand farmers’ programme will be organised in Gwalior on September 2 on the occasion of Balram Jayanti. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will attend the event as the chief guest. The programme will be held at the Mela Ground in Gwalior. A large number of farmers are expected to take part in the समारोह. The event is likely to focus on farmers’ welfare and agriculture-related issues. Balram Jayanti is celebrated with great importance among the farming community. The state government is making preparations for the major event with arrangements being made for the expected large gathering of farmers. ₹2973 Crore Dairy Development Plan Approved The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet has approved a special package worth ₹2973 crore to support milk producers and develop the dairy industry. The plan aims to increase milk production collection and processing capacity across the state. The government says the project will strengthen the rural economy and provide better financial support to dairy farmers. Out of the total amount ₹1547 crore has been specially allocated to modernise and expand milk processing facilities. The major investment is expected to improve the dairy sector and create new opportunities for milk producers. The government hopes the plan will give a major boost to rural development. Congress MLAs Meet Governor Over Vijay Shah Case Congress MLAs met Governor Mangubhai Patel on Tuesday to protest against a proposal related to Minister Vijay Shah. Shah had earlier faced criticism over his remarks about Colonel Sofia Qureshi. The Congress leaders opposed the proposal to deny permission for prosecution against the minister. Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar along with MLAs Arif Masood and Suresh Raje submitted a memorandum to the Governor. They demanded a reconsideration of the Cabinet proposal. The Congress leaders said action should be taken in the matter. The issue has once again created political tension in Madhya Pradesh. Four Women Police Personnel Injured in NSUI Protest Four women police personnel were reportedly injured during an NSUI protest at the Prime Minister College of Excellence in Chhindwara. NSUI workers were protesting over their 17-point demands when the situation turned tense. Police and protesters reportedly pushed each other during the protest. One woman police officer fell ill and was taken to the principal’s office in a wheelchair. The situation became more tense after ABVP workers reached the college campus. Members of both student groups came face to face creating further tension. Police had to work hard to control the situation and prevent a major clash. Traders Clash With Police Over Sealing Drive in Bhopal Traders protested in Bhopal on Tuesday against the municipal corporation’s sealing action on commercial activities in residential areas. The protest continued for nearly four hours. Traders marched from New Market towards the Chief Minister’s residence but were stopped by police barricades near Roshanpura Square. Protesters beat plates blew conch shells and played drums to express their anger. One trader also arrived dressed as Mahatma Gandhi. Police officers tried to convince the traders but they remained firm on their demands. The traders refused to submit a memorandum to the SDM and demanded a meeting with the Chief Minister. Congress Targets Govt Over Rewa Hospital Deaths Politics has intensified over the deaths of a pregnant woman and her unborn child at Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Rewa. Madhya Pradesh Congress president Jitu Patwari targeted the government over a controversial statement made by hospital superintendent Dr. Rahul Mishra. Patwari shared a video of the superintendent on social media and questioned why action had not been taken. He alleged that Dr. Mishra is related to the Deputy Chief Minister and is being protected. Patwari said the video has gone viral across the state and country but the government has remained silent on the issue. Boatman Swept Away as Mandakini River Floods Chitrakoot Heavy rainfall has created flood-like conditions in several districts of Madhya Pradesh with Satna among the worst affected areas. In Chitrakoot the Mandakini River is flowing nearly two metres above the danger mark. A boatman was swept away in the strong current and is still missing. A video shows him calling for help before being carried away by the floodwaters. Around 400 shops and 20 to 25 hotels at Ramghat have been flooded. Water has also entered the Kamadgiri Parikrama route. Authorities have issued alerts for 36 villages near the rising Simrawal River.
