Patwari Caught Taking Bribe in Narsinghpur A patwari was caught red-handed while allegedly taking a bribe in Narsinghpur district on Monday. According to officials the accused demanded money for land mutation work. A resident named Sandeep Kumar Singh complained to the Lokayukta team after the officer allegedly asked for ₹10000. Officials laid a trap and arrested the patwari while taking ₹5000. The complaint was related to a seven-acre land purchase made by the applicant’s mother. Authorities said further legal action is being taken in the corruption case. Youth Attempts Suicide at SP Office Campus A young man allegedly attempted suicide inside the SP office campus in Chhatarpur by cutting his wrist on Monday. Police identified him as Shiv Pratap Singh Rajput from Harpalpur. Officials said he had been receiving mental health treatment in Gwalior. Initial investigation suggests he had earlier been involved in disputes and violent incidents at a court complex. After the incident police and staff rushed to help him and started an inquiry into the reason behind the act. His medical condition is being monitored. Couple Linked to Blackmail Case Die After River Jump A couple died after allegedly jumping into a river from an old bridge in Morena district on Monday. Rescue teams recovered the bodies after an operation by police and SDRF officials. During investigation police said the two had earlier been linked to a blackmail case reported around nine months ago. They were accused of secretly recording videos in hotel rooms and allegedly blackmailing people.
