Chief Minister praises Panchayat Secretaries Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav addressed the state-level Panchayat Secretary Conference at BHEL Dussehra Maidan on Friday. He said that the true soul of India lives in villages. Referring to Mahatma Gandhi the Chief Minister said that if villages farmers and poor people develop the nation will automatically progress. He described the Panchayat as the strongest unit of the Panchayati Raj system and called Panchayat Secretaries its real backbone. The Chief Minister said that even decisions taken by IAS officers the Prime Minister or the State Government are finally implemented at the Panchayat level. Comparing their work to devotion and strength he said Panchayat Secretaries today perform difficult tasks just like Lord Hanuman did during Lord Ram’s time. Drug factory busted in Ratlam huge seizure made Police have uncovered an illegal MD drug manufacturing factory in Chikalana village of Ratlam district. The action was taken late Thursday night around 2:30 am in the Kalukheda police station area. During the raid police seized more than 10 kilograms of ready MD drugs and chemicals worth nearly ₹3 crore. Along with drugs a 12-bore gun 91 live cartridges two peacocks and sandalwood were also recovered from the spot. The case has gained political attention as the accused is said to be close to MP Chandrashekhar. Police have registered a case and started questioning those involved. Further investigation is underway to find links to a larger drug network operating in the region. Poisonous cough syrup case heard in High Court The Madhya Pradesh High Court on Friday heard the bail plea of Dr. Praveen Soni arrested in the Chhindwara poisonous cough syrup case. In this tragic incident 25 small children lost their lives after consuming toxic cough syrup. During the hearing Dr. Soni claimed that he was not responsible for the deaths. He told the court that he prescribed medicines according to medical rules and blamed the pharmaceutical company for manufacturing poisonous syrup. His lawyer argued that checking the chemical composition of medicines is the responsibility of the manufacturer not the doctor. The court listened to both sides and reserved further action. Income Tax raid at BJP district panchayat chief’s brother’s office The Income Tax Department carried out a major raid on Friday in Vidisha district. The action took place at Samadhan Apartment in Sherpura area. The raid was conducted at the office of Dilip Raghuvanshi a well-known contractor and brother of the BJP District Panchayat President. The Income Tax team is examining financial records bank transactions and other important documents related to the contractor’s business activities. Heavy security arrangements were made outside the apartment and no one was allowed to enter during the operation. Officials have not yet shared details about the findings.
