Team India and New Zealand Players Reach Indore Indian and New Zealand cricket teams reached Indore on Thursday ahead of their important ODI match. Star Indian players like Rohit Sharma Virat Kohli Shubman Gill KL Rahul and fast bowler Mohammed Siraj arrived at the airport. Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir also came with the squad. After landing all players left directly for their hotels. Separate buses were arranged for both teams. Security was tightened at the airport and hotels and strict checking was done. India and New Zealand will play the third and final ODI of the series on January 18 at Holkar Stadium. Weather will remain clear with sunshine. Temperature will stay between 13 and 28 degrees Celsius so no interruption is expected during the match. AI Progress Should Not Destroy Human Nature: CM Mohan Yadav Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav addressed the Regional AI Impact Conference 2026 held at Hotel Taj in Bhopal. He spoke about connecting Indian tradition philosophy and modern technology. The Chief Minister said the world today is surrounded by mantras machines and technology but the biggest danger is conspiracy. He warned that while using Artificial Intelligence and advanced technology society must stay alert. Development should not destroy human values and basic nature. Dr. Yadav said AI should be used for public welfare not to control or harm humanity. He stressed that technology must support culture sensitivity and ethics. His speech highlighted the need for balance between innovation and humanity. Madhya Pradesh Assembly Budget Session From February 16 The budget session of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly will begin on February 16 and continue till March 6. The session will last for 19 days during which 12 meetings will be held. Seven days will remain holidays. The session will start with the Governor’s address. Between February 16 and 20 the Mohan Yadav government will present its third budget. Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Jagdish Devda will present the budget in the Assembly. Important discussions on development finance and public welfare are expected during the session. Lawmakers from both ruling and opposition parties will raise issues related to the state. Security and administrative preparations have already begun. Eight Injuries Due to Chinese Manja During Makar Sankranti Several accidents were reported in Indore and Ujjain during Makar Sankranti due to dangerous Chinese manja used for kite flying. So far eight injury cases have been reported. In some incidents people suffered deep cuts on their necks while others were seriously injured on legs and hands. Over the last one and a half months Indore alone has recorded 13 such accidents. Two people lost their lives and one injured person is still in critical condition at the hospital. Despite repeated bans Chinese manja continues to be used illegally. Police and administration have appealed to people to avoid dangerous kite strings and follow safety rules to prevent further accidents. Assam Student Beaten at Tribal University Hostel A serious assault case has come to light at Indira Gandhi National Tribal University in Anuppur district of Madhya Pradesh. An MA Economics student from Assam Heros Jyotidas was attacked inside his hostel room early morning on January 13. The student said five to six youths entered his room asked his name and home state and then started beating him badly. He suffered a broken nose and injuries to eyes and ears. After the incident students protested and surrounded the administrative building. On Wednesday night the university expelled five students. Police have registered a case against them. ABVP also submitted a memorandum demanding strict action. Scam in Statue of Tribal Hero Tantya Mama A major scam has been exposed in Khargone regarding the statue of tribal freedom fighter Tantya Mama. The municipal council issued a tender for a bronze or stone statue worth around 10 lakh rupees. However a cheap fiber-reinforced plastic statue costing nearly 1 lakh rupees was installed and inaugurated. The matter created anger among the tribal community. People accused officials of cheating and insulting the respected tribal hero. Questions are being raised about the role of municipal officers and contractors. After the issue surfaced demands for investigation and action have increased. The administration has assured inquiry but trust among people has been shaken due to this serious irregularity. Temperature Rises in Day Nights Remain Cold Weather in Madhya Pradesh will remain mostly clear and pleasant for the next few days. Many cities including Bhopal Indore Ujjain and Gwalior will see bright sunshine during the day. Mornings and nights will stay cold due to winter conditions. Minimum temperature may remain between 10 and 14 degrees Celsius while maximum temperature can reach 26 to 28 degrees Celsius. There is no forecast of rain in most parts of the state. Light fog may appear in some areas during early morning hours. Cold winds can be felt at night. Farmers and travelers are advised to take precautions during early morning and late evening hours.
