CM’s Doctor Son and Daughter-in-law Begin Narmada Parikrama Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav’s younger son Dr. Abhimanyu Yadav and daughter-in-law Dr. Ishita have started the holy Narmada Parikrama. The journey began from Omkareshwar on Monday December 22. The couple got married on November 30 in a mass wedding ceremony held in Ujjain. Just 21 days after their wedding they decided to go on this spiritual journey. Along with them Abhimanyu’s elder sister Dr. Akanksha Yadav her husband and elder brother Vaibhav Yadav with his wife are also part of the parikrama. The Narmada Parikrama will be completed in about 15 days. Four State Police Officers Get IPS Cadre Award Four officers from the Madhya Pradesh State Police Service have received the IPS cadre award. These officers were promoted after the 2024 Departmental Promotion Committee meeting. The officers who got the IPS award are Vikrant Murab Surendra Kumar Jain Ashish Khare and Rajesh Raghuvanshi. The Ministry of Home Affairs issued the official order on Wednesday. After this promotion all four officers will serve a one-year probation period as IPS officers. This promotion is considered a major achievement in their careers and will strengthen the police leadership in the state. Home Minister Amit Shah to Visit MP on December 25 Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Madhya Pradesh on December 25. He will arrive in Gwalior where he is expected to announce development projects worth crores of rupees. These projects are aimed at boosting infrastructure and economic growth in the state. Madhya Pradesh has declared the current year as “Industry Year” to support India’s goal of becoming the world’s third-largest economy. Ahead of Amit Shah’s visit Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the state is ready to play a leading role in industrial development and investment. Couple Sets Themselves on Fire During Encroachment Drive A shocking incident took place in Satwas area of Khategaon in Dewas district. During an encroachment removal drive a husband and wife set themselves on fire in front of the team. Both were badly injured and first taken for primary treatment then referred to Indore for advanced care. After the incident angry locals blocked the road and protested in front of the police station. Due to the protest traffic was disrupted for nearly three kilometers. The incident has raised serious questions about rehabilitation and communication during government eviction drives. NGT Stops Cutting of 7871 Trees on Ayodhya Bypass The National Green Tribunal has stopped the cutting of 7871 trees for the Ayodhya Bypass expansion in Bhopal. The order will remain in effect till January 8. The road from Asaram Chauraha to Ratnagiri Tiraha is being widened into a 10-lane highway. The tree cutting plan faced strong opposition from Congress and environmental activists. The National Highways Authority of India had promised to plant 81000 new saplings as compensation. Environmental groups have announced protests saying development should not come at the cost of nature. MP Touches Officer’s Feet Over Delay in Program In Rajgarh district a unique protest was seen when MP Rodmal Nagar touched the feet of an officer on stage. The incident happened during a Jal Arpan program in Kundibeh village. The MP was upset as officers arrived nearly one and a half hours late. Showing his anger he said that waiting like a fool was unacceptable and only holding events is not enough. He added that real work must be visible on the ground. The village was celebrating becoming the first to get 24-hour clean tap water supply. Congress Alleges Massive Voter Deletion in SIR The Congress party has accused the BJP and Election Commission of voter manipulation during the SIR process in Madhya Pradesh. At a press conference former minister Sajjan Singh Verma said nearly 43 lakh voters have been deleted from the list. He claimed many of these voters had voted in the 2023 assembly elections. Congress said there is no current election yet SIR work was done in a hurry. The party also alleged that 37000 votes were deleted from state president Jitu Patwari’s constituency. BJP has denied all allegations. Cold Wave Grips Madhya Pradesh Nights Get Colder A cold wave is affecting many parts of Madhya Pradesh as temperatures continue to fall. Cities like Bhopal Indore Gwalior Ujjain and Jabalpur are experiencing chilly mornings and cold nights. The Meteorological Department said cold winds from the north are causing the temperature drop. In some areas night temperatures have fallen below 10 degrees Celsius. Fog was also seen in early morning hours affecting road visibility. People are using warm clothes and heaters to stay safe. The weather department advised children and elderly people to take extra precautions during the cold conditions.
