CM Inaugurates Modern MRI CT Scan Units in Bhopal Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav opened new MRI and CT scan units at Hamidia Hospital in Bhopal. He said Madhya Pradesh is becoming a model in healthcare. Minister Narendra Patel said the hospital’s name should be changed calling Nawab Hamidullah a traitor. With these new machines Hamidia becomes the first state medical college with such advanced tools. Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla Ministers Vishwas Sarang and MLA Rameshwar Sharma were also present. The CM praised the health department for bringing in the latest government medical technology. Supreme Court to Review SIT Report on July 28 Madhya Pradesh Minister Vijay Shah was questioned by the SIT in Jabalpur on July 19. He was asked about his speech during a May 11 event in Mhow. Shah made controversial remarks about Colonel Sofia Qureshi at a Halma program. His comments mentioned Operation Sindoor and were seen as offensive. The Supreme Court had earlier criticized him and ordered a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe. The SIT also checked video clips of the speech. A final report will be submitted to the Supreme Court on July 28 for review. Youth Congress Sets Record with 15 Lakh Members Youth Congress in Madhya Pradesh added over 15 lakh members in a record-breaking drive from June 20 to July 19.The biggest contest was in Dhar where 15 candidates are running for district president. In Kamal Nath’s home district Chhindwara only one candidate applied so he will win unopposed. For state president the main fight is between Yash Ghanghoria Abhishek Parmar and Shivraj Yadav. Votes were cast for six posts. The results will be declared after a two-month review of membership documents and voting process. Election Commission Doubles BLO Allowance The Election Commission has doubled the yearly allowance for Booth Level Officers across India. In Madhya Pradesh BLOs will now get double the earlier amount. Supervisors will also receive a higher yearly payment. BLOs will be paid monthly twice as much as before The Commission has also approved a special incentive for BLOs during election drives. Orders have been sent to all states to implement the new payments. This increase aims to motivate BLOs who work hard to ensure smooth elections and better voter services. EOW Registers FIR in Sahara Land Scam The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has registered an FIR in the Sahara land scam after a complaint by Ashutosh Manu Dixit. Investigations revealed land worth over ₹1000 crore was sold for just ₹98 crore. The sale also violated Supreme Court guidelines. The land was sold in Bhopal Jabalpur and Katni. The case raises serious questions about irregularities in land deals involving Sahara. Supreme Court Rejects Re-exam Plea in NEET-UG Case The Supreme Court has rejected two petitions filed by NEET-UG 2025 candidates demanding a re-exam due to power cuts during the test. The students were affected by electricity failure in Madhya Pradesh. The Court refused to interfere with the earlier decision of the Madhya Pradesh High Court division bench which had dismissed the request. This puts an end to hopes of a retest for the affected students. Criminals Record Videos Inside Police Custody In a shocking incident criminals in police custody recorded videos and shared them on social media. This happened in Rewa and Narmadapuram. The accused including Ashish Singh and Lalita Vati Kevat were being transported by Chourhata police when they made the videos. The incident has gone viral and raised serious concerns about police negligence during custody transfers.
