Youth Congress Row After ‘Students Ki Goonj’ Event A dispute has emerged in the Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress after Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Students Ki Goonj’ event in Indore on September 19. Youth Congress vice-president Sweety Patil claimed in a social media post that she had to wait for hours for an entry pass. She alleged that some wrong people and accused persons were allowed inside while hardworking office-bearers did not get passes. She also raised serious questions about state Youth Congress president Yash Ghanghoria. The allegations have created a controversy within the organisation. Ayurveda Is a Way of Life to Prevent Diseases: CM Yadav Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said Ayurveda is not only a system of treatment but also a way of life that helps prevent diseases. He said Indian yoga and Ayurveda have regained global recognition under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Speaking at a state-level programme in Bhopal on National Ayurveda Day Yadav said Ayurveda has been part of Indian culture for centuries. He also said many ingredients and spices used in Indian kitchens are based on Ayurvedic knowledge and traditions. Former Tripura CM Biplab Deb Becomes MP BJP In-Charge The BJP has appointed former Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb as its new in-charge for Madhya Pradesh. Rekha Verma has been appointed co-in-charge. Deb will replace Dr Mahendra Singh who was earlier handling the responsibility. BJP national president Nitin Nabin announced the new list of state in-charges and co-in-charges on Wednesday September 23. According to the party order the new appointments have come into effect immediately. PM Modi to Attend Global Investors Summit in MP Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the Global Investors Summit in Madhya Pradesh next January. The summit is proposed to be held in Satgarhi Bhopal. Preparations have already started with officials holding meetings for the event. Bhopal Commissioner Karmveer Sharma reviewed the preparations on Wednesday and directed officials to work in coordination. He said there should be no delay at any level. The summit is being seen as an opportunity to showcase Madhya Pradesh’s industrial strength and investment opportunities globally. Claim: Dhirendra Shastri’s ‘Son Prediction’ Proved Wrong A couple from Jhansi Uttar Pradesh has claimed that a prediction made by Bageshwar Dham chief Dhirendra Krishna Shastri turned out to be wrong. According to the couple a note given to them mentioned a spiritual problem and said they had a possibility of having a son. However the woman gave birth to their fourth daughter on June 11. The husband later contacted the All India Committee for Eradication of Superstition and appealed to people to remain aware. The couple said they had visited Bageshwar Dham in 2024. Congress Protests Over Power Cuts and Smart Meter Bills Congress workers reached the Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company office on Wednesday over frequent power cuts in Bhopal. They alleged that electricity is being cut for hours in the name of maintenance. They also claimed that electricity bills have increased after the installation of smart meters. Congress workers from areas including Arera Colony raised complaints about repeated power cuts and voltage fluctuations. State Congress spokesperson Vivek Tripathi submitted a complaint to Managing Director Vishesh Garhpale and demanded immediate action to improve the system. Ganesh Festival Hoarding Falls in Indore A large hoarding installed for a Ganesh festival event fell suddenly on the main road in Patnipura Indore on Wednesday afternoon. Some people were reportedly caught under the structure but no serious injuries were reported. According to eyewitnesses a young man named Shrey Sharma suffered minor injuries and was taken to a private hospital by his family. The hoarding and a large gate had been installed on the main road for a Ganesh Chaturthi event at Gol School. TI Among Three Police Personnel Suspended Over Assault Allegation Three police personnel including a police station in-charge have been suspended in Bhopal after allegations of assaulting lawyer Rakesh Rawal. Around 50 lawyers protested at Jahangirabad police station until around 3 AM on Tuesday night. They demanded action against the station in-charge and other police personnel. Following the protest DCP Zone-1 suspended TI Rajan Singh Ahirwar constable Yash Lakhera and constable Ramswaroop. A preliminary inquiry has been ordered to be completed within seven days. Inspector Hari Kishan Lohia has been given charge of the police station. ‘No UPI Day’ in MP Over Proposed Payment Charges Traders across Madhya Pradesh observed a ‘No UPI Day’ on Wednesday to protest against proposed charges on UPI payments. Traders in cities including Bhopal Indore Gwalior and Jabalpur refused to accept UPI payments above 2000 rupees. Black cloth was tied around QR scanners and payment sound boxes at several shops as a symbol of protest. Some traders also displayed a symbolic UPI figure. The traders said they were opposing the proposed charges on digital payments.
