Ambedkar Statue to Stay at Gwalior HC Despite Opposition In a strong statement Damodar Singh Yadav national president of Dalit-Pichhada Samaj and senior leader of the Azad Samaj Party (Bhim Army) vowed to install Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s statue inside Gwalior High Court premises. Despite ongoing controversies and opposition Singh said that no matter the struggle Ambedkar’s statue will be placed and remain at the High Court. Patwari Caught Taking Bribe; DadTries to Destroy Evidence A patwari was caught red-handed accepting a bribe of ₹5000 in Naugaon early Monday morning as part of a Lokayukta sting operation targeting illegal land demarcations. When the anti-corruption team arrived the patwari’s father panicked and surprisingly tried to chew the cash to destroy evidence. Despite efforts by officials they were unable to retrieve all notes immediately. Police later took the elderly man to hospital for an ultrasound after the commotion escalated.
