Minister Vijay Shah Apologises Again State minister Kunwar Vijay Shah has apologised once again—his third—after sparking outrage for calling Army officer Colonel Sofia Qureshi a sister of terrorists. In a video released on Friday Shah admitted it was a “linguistic mistake” and said he never meant to hurt anyone. He publicly apologised to Colonel Qureshi and the citizens of the country. The controversy has triggered widespread criticism with demands for accountability. Shah insists the remark was taken out of context but the apology hasnt cooled public anger. Cong Slams Govt Calls It Event Not Investment Driven Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar came down hard on the state government during a press meet in Bhopal calling it an “event management firm not a government for investors.” He mocked the ‘Invest in MP’ drive comparing it to a wedding without a bride or groom. Singharsaid that MP was not invited to the Davos 2025 World Economic Forum unlike Maharashtra which secured ₹15 lakh crore in proposals. He also cited Outlook Business magazine which ranked MP 15th in startup performance. He questioned CM Mohan Yadav’s focus on optics over real economic development. College in Alampur to Be Renamed After Ahilyabai Holkar Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav has announced that the government college in Alampur Bhind district will be renamed after Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. The declaration came during a self-help group convention in Lahar. The CM also unveiled a ₹117 crore package of development works including road electricity water education and healthcare projects. He also announced plans to set up an industrial unit on 100 bighas of land in the area aimed at boosting local employment and economic activity.
