Digvijaya Singh’s 930-Km Walk from Mahakal to Ayodhya Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh will begin his Sanatan Swabhiman Padyatra on October 20. The journey will start from the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain and cover around 930 kilometres before reaching Ayodhya. The route will pass through several places in Madhya Pradesh including Tarana Shajapur Sarangpur Rajgarh Chachoda Aron Ashoknagar Chanderi and Orchha. The march will then enter Uttar Pradesh and pass through Chirgaon Orai Kalpi Kanpur Dehat Lucknow Dehat and Barabanki. The journey will end in Ayodhya with darshan of Ram Lalla. Minister Vijay Shah Tells CM: “Use Your Stick on Officers” Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav attended a programme marking Rani Durgavati’s birth anniversary in Harsud Khandwa. During the event he criticised Rahul Gandhi over his Balaghat visit. Meanwhile Minister Vijay Shah raised complaints about government officials. He said micro lift irrigation projects in Khargone and Khalwa areas were delayed. Shah told the Chief Minister that officials were not properly understanding the projects. He urged CM Mohan Yadav to take strict action against the officers so that the pending work could start soon. New Satellite City Planned to Protect Narmada The Madhya Pradesh government plans to develop a new satellite city near Amarkantak to reduce pressure on the Narmada’s origin area. The new city will come up on more than 2134 hectares of land across four villages. The aim is to move hotels restaurants and other commercial activities away from the sensitive origin area. The government also wants to prevent sewage from reaching the Narmada. For this purpose the investment area around Amarkantak has been increased from 7000 to more than 11657 hectares. Amit Bhatnagar Hospitalised After Seven-Day Fast The protest over compensation and rehabilitation for tribal families affected by the Majhgawan Dam project continued for the 24th day. Social activist Amit Bhatnagar who was taking part in the protest has been admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Rewa. He was sent there after spending seven days on an indefinite hunger strike in Panna jail. The administration said he was shifted because his health was getting worse. However Bhatnagar alleged that the move was an attempt to force him to end his hunger strike. Priyank Kharge Calls Digvijaya Singh a “True Sanatani” Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge has openly supported former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh’s remarks on Sanatan Dharma and Hindutva. Kharge called Digvijaya Singh a “true Sanatani” and strongly criticised the RSS. He said the RSS does not fully understand the religion but behaves as if it is the only guardian of a faith that is thousands of years old. His remarks came amid a political debate over Digvijaya Singh’s views on Sanatan Dharma. Scientific Rollers Arrive in Indore for India-West Indies T20 Preparations are underway for the India-West Indies T20 match at Holkar Stadium in Indore on October 11. For the first time modern scientific rollers have been brought to the stadium. The rollers weigh 200 500 and 750 kilograms.
