CM Mohan Yadav Highlights Religious Tourism Growth Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited Dwarka in Gujarat and offered prayers at the famous Dwarkadhish Temple. He prayed for the happiness prosperity and welfare of the people of Madhya Pradesh. He also wished people across the country on Janmashtami. Speaking to the media the Chief Minister said religious and spiritual tourism is growing fast under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the number of devotees visiting Ujjain increased nearly 20 times after the construction of Shri Mahakal Lok. More than 10 crore pilgrims now visit Ujjain every year. The state government is improving facilities at major religious places. Bhopal Master Plan to Be Released Soon Urban Administration Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya has said that Bhopals new master plan will be released soon. Speaking about the sealing action in the city he said traders are facing problems and the government will find a solution to protect traders and common people. He said senior officials of the Urban Administration Department are in Delhi to discuss the matter with legal experts. Vijayvargiya said discussions are going on within the government about the Bhopal master plan. He also said a decision will be taken soon. Meanwhile the government has planned to light 100 lamps at every booth on Prime Minister Narendra Modis birthday. Shipra Aarti Row Grows in Ujjain A controversy has started over the traditional evening aarti of River Shipra at Ram Ghat in Ujjain. The Shri Kshetra Panda Samiti and the pilgrimage priests have opposed changes in the aarti system. They have also opposed efforts to start a new aarti through the Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee. Committee president Pandit Rajesh Trivedi said priests have been performing the traditional aarti for many years. The committee has accused authorities of trying to turn the religious tradition into a commercial event through tenders. Priests have also questioned the Smart City tender. A meeting has been called on September 9 to discuss the issue. Congress Protests Over FIR Against Rahul Gandhi Congress workers held protests in Burhanpur and Shahpur against the FIR registered against Rahul Gandhi. Party workers reached the offices of the SDM and Tehsildar and submitted a memorandum addressed to the President. In Burhanpur Congress workers led by District Congress President Rinku Tank submitted the memorandum to SDM Pallavi Puranik. In Shahpur Rural Congress workers submitted their memorandum to Tehsildar Govind Singh Rawat. Congress demanded that the FIR against Rahul Gandhi should be cancelled immediately. The party also demanded a fair investigation into the alleged purification of a meeting venue in Haldwani. Congress warned that its protest would continue if demands are not met. Fake IAS Officer Arrested in Indore Indore Police have arrested a man for allegedly posing as an IAS officer and impressing people with his fake identity. The accused has been identified as Raj Soni also known as Himanshu Panchal. Police said he appeared for the UPSC examination around four years ago but failed to clear it. Later he worked for a software company but started claiming that he was an IAS officer. Police said he had earlier posed as a fake police officer in Gandhinagar Gujarat and had even gone to jail. After his release he came to Indore. Police recovered several suspicious items and a diary containing officers mobile numbers. EOW Raids Executive Engineer’s Premises The Economic Offences Wing or EOW has conducted raids at the premises of PWD Building Department Executive Engineer K.K. Singare in Balaghat. The action followed a complaint related to alleged corruption. On September 3 EOW teams carried out searches in Balaghat Chhindwara and Bhopal. In Balaghat the team searched his residence under the leadership of DSP Manjeet Singh. Initial information suggests that around Rs 2.5 lakh in cash a new Scorpio vehicle and several empty envelopes were found. The EOW team also took Singare to his Chhindwara residence for further investigation. Officials said detailed information will be released after the investigation is completed. Madhya Pradesh Braces for Heavy Rain Madhya Pradesh is likely to witness heavy to very heavy rainfall over the next few days. The India Meteorological Department has issued warnings for several parts of the state. East Madhya Pradesh may receive extremely heavy rain on September 3 while heavy rain is also expected in West Madhya Pradesh. Thunderstorms lightning and strong winds may occur in many areas. A low-pressure system over northeast Madhya Pradesh is affecting the weather. People have been advised to remain alert and avoid going near rivers and waterlogged areas. The rain activity is likely to continue in many parts of Madhya Pradesh until September 5.
