AIIMS Bhopal Starts IVF and Fertility Centre AIIMS Bhopal has started a new IVF and Fertility Centre for couples facing problems in having children. The centre was opened on Monday in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. It will provide testing counselling and modern treatment for infertility in both women and men. The facility will bring different fertility services under one roof. The centre was inaugurated by AIIMS Bhopal Executive Director Lieutenant General Dr. Narendra Kotwal retired. Senior officials including Professor Dr. Rajneesh Joshi Sandesh Jain and Professor Dr. Vikas Gupta were also present. The new centre is expected to provide better and more advanced fertility care to couples in Bhopal and nearby areas. MP Aims to Become Leading Milk-Producing State Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the state aims to become a leading state in milk production. He said the government is working to increase farmers’ income and promote modern farming. The government has signed an agreement with the National Dairy Development Board to increase milk production. The Chief Minister said dairy farming can help farmers earn more money. He also said farmers are now getting 8 to 10 rupees more per litre of milk because of government efforts. Dr. Yadav was speaking at a programme on agricultural innovation organised by the Madhya Pradesh Youth Commission. He also encouraged young people to study agriculture and explore new opportunities. Angry Students Begin 62-KM March to Meet Collector A group of students from an Eklavya Model Residential School in Jamli Barwani started a 62-kilometre march on Monday to meet the district collector. The students said they wanted to raise serious problems related to their hostel and education. They carried posters demanding their rights instead of books. Police and administration officials stopped them about 18 kilometres from Sendhwa. The students alleged that their hostel does not have basic facilities such as smart classes clean drinking water and good food. They also alleged that they are being harassed and called by their caste names. The students said they would not remain silent and wanted the authorities to solve their problems. FIR Against Four Including Former Indore Crime Branch TI Lokayukta Police have registered an FIR against four people including the former TI of the Indore Crime Branch and two constables. They are accused of demanding and accepting a bribe of 1.20 lakh rupees. According to the allegation a woman’s son was called to the Crime Branch office in connection with a complaint against him. The accused allegedly demanded money in return for not taking action against him and releasing him. The Lokayukta Police have now registered a case against the four accused. Further investigation is underway. The case has raised questions about alleged corruption within the police department and the use of official power to demand money from citizens. High Court Stops Results in Constable Band Recruitment The Indore Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court has stopped the declaration of interview results in the Constable Band recruitment process. The court has also asked the state government to explain how candidates were selected and called for the interviews. The case was filed by petitioner Nilesh Singh against the Madhya Pradesh government. Advocate Gagan Bajaj appeared for the petitioner through video conference. Deputy Advocate General Sudeep Bhargava represented the state government. The court has directed that the interview results should not be declared for now. The next hearing is expected during the week beginning September 7. The court’s decision may affect the ongoing recruitment process for the Constable Band posts. Heavy Rain Hits Bhopal Markets Flooded in Vidisha Heavy rain continued in several parts of Madhya Pradesh on Monday. Bhopal Vidisha Raisen and Shajapur received strong showers in the afternoon. Water entered markets in Vidisha causing problems for shopkeepers and local residents. The weather system has become active due to a monsoon trough cyclonic circulation and a low-pressure area. In the last 24 hours Narmadapuram received an average of 3.7 inches of rain. Karera in Shivpuri recorded 5.4 inches while Orchha received 3.3 inches and Rehli in Sagar recorded 3 inches. In Bhopal Kolar received 3.2 inches Navibagh 3.1 inches and the city recorded around 3 inches of rain. More rain is expected in several areas.
