CM Mohan Yadavs Big Push for Uniform Civil Code Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has made an important statement on the Uniform Civil Code or UCC. Speaking at the inauguration of a new 300-bed district hospital in Indore he said the state government is moving towards one common law for all citizens. He said if Lord Ram had one wife then the same expectation can be applied to everyone. The Chief Minister added that Muslim women also deserve equal rights and protection. He said one country should have one law for all people without different personal laws for different communities. Jitu Patwari Targets Government Over Paper Leaks Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari has completed the second day of his cycle rally from Indore to Bhopal under Rahul Gandhis Students Voice campaign. The rally highlights the alleged NEET paper leak recruitment exam problems and unemployment. Patwari claimed that around 90 paper leak cases happened during the Modi government and nearly 50 examinations had to be cancelled. He also mentioned the MPPSC and Vyapam scams saying they broke the trust of young people. He demanded a fair investigation into every paper leak case and called for transparent examinations. High Court Seeks Reply on Teacher Shortage The Madhya Pradesh High Court has issued notices to the state government over a serious shortage of teachers in government schools. The action came after a Public Interest Litigation filed by Indore resident Saurabh Tripathi. The petition refers to the 2025 CAG report which claims that 1895 government schools in the state do not have even a single teacher. The petitioner said this is affecting the education of thousands of children and violating their fundamental right to education. The High Court has asked the government and the School Education Department to file their response. Two Brothers Arrested for Assaulting Brother-in-Law Police in Morena district have arrested two brothers for allegedly tying their brother-in-law to a tree and beating him. The incident happened in Bhidausa village. According to police the accused stripped the victim and assaulted him with belts sticks and straps. The victim later reached the police station and filed a complaint. During the investigation police recovered videos of the assault from the accuseds mobile phones. The accused claimed they suspected the victim of misbehaving with their younger sister. Police have arrested both men and further investigation is in progress. Two Property Dealers Arrested in Double Murder Case Bhopal Police have solved the murder case of an elderly couple nearly 20 days after the crime. Two property dealers Shrikant Chinchaliya and Shashikant Chinchaliya have been arrested. Police said the accused first used fraud to get the couples house transferred to their names through a gift deed. They then planned and carried out the murder to take full control of the property. Police Commissioner Sanjay Kumar said the investigation revealed a planned conspiracy. Both accused are now in police custody and further legal action is being taken in the case. Datia Police Destroy 628 Illegal Weapons Police in Datia have destroyed 628 illegal weapons after receiving permission from the court. The weapons had been seized in different criminal cases from across the district since 2007. They were placed on a road outside the Police Control Room and crushed using a heavy road roller. Bhander SDOP P. C. Yadav said all the related court cases had already been completed. The weapons were destroyed according to legal procedures and court orders. Police said the action will help prevent the misuse of illegal weapons and strengthen public safety. Dhirendra Shastris Brother Arrested Police in Chhatarpur have arrested Shaligram the brother of Bageshwar Dham chief Dhirendra Krishna Shastri along with another accused. Two more suspects are still absconding. According to complainant Advocate Brij Kishore Pandey the accused reached his house in Koda village. When they could not find him they allegedly opened fire on his associate Motilal Kushwaha who was injured. Pandey said he has an ongoing land dispute with Shaligram. Police have started a detailed investigation and are searching for the two remaining accused involved in the incident. Hot Weather Returns to Madhya Pradesh Hot weather has returned to many parts of Madhya Pradesh after heavy rainfall slowed down. Maximum temperatures have crossed 35 degrees Celsius in several cities across the state. According to the India Meteorological Department there is little chance of heavy rain during the next five days and temperatures may rise further. So far Madhya Pradesh has received 241.8 millimetres of rainfall which is about seven percent below normal for this time of the season. Weather officials are closely monitoring the monsoon while farmers are hoping for better rainfall in the coming days.
