MP High Court Slams Police Officers for Helping Criminals The Madhya Pradesh High Courts Gwalior Bench has strongly criticized police officers who fail to follow legal procedures during arrests. The court said that some officers wear the police uniform but their hearts are with criminals. The judges observed that if a police officer does not give an accused person the written grounds of arrest it may be treated as a deliberate attempt to help the accused get released from court. The court said such negligence cannot be accepted in a system that follows the rule of law. It has directed the states Director General of Police to issue a strict warning circular to all police station in-charges and investigating officers within one month. The court also stressed that every arrest must follow legal procedures to ensure justice transparency and public trust in the police system. MP Cabinet Announces Major IT and Green Projects Chief Minister Mohan Yadav chaired the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet meeting on Wednesday and approved several major development projects. MSME Minister Chaitanya Kashyap said the cabinet has approved an ₹800 crore plan to upgrade the State Electronics Development Corporations data centre. The government also plans to develop small IT parks in every district and provide land to encourage the growth of technology companies and create employment opportunities. The cabinet approved ₹39 crore for the continued development of the Dongla Astronomical Observatory near Ujjain. It also approved the Namo Harit Nagar Yojana under which urban forests will be developed over the next five years with an investment of ₹100 crore. The state government will also take responsibility for maintaining these green spaces while promoting environmental protection and sustainable urban development. Girl Allegedly Kidnapped From Field in Barwani A shocking video from Barwani district has surfaced showing a young woman allegedly being kidnapped from a farm in broad daylight. The incident reportedly took place in Rajpur area on July 7. According to allegations the girls family had accepted around ₹2 lakh under a local traditional practice but later refused to send her with the other family. After this around 25 to 30 young men reached the village dragged the girl from the field placed her on a motorcycle and took her away. Police have registered the case and started an investigation into the incident. Donation Theft Allegations Surface at Baglamukhi Temple After the donation theft controversy at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya a similar case has now emerged at the famous Baglamukhi Temple in Agar Malwa district of Madhya Pradesh. A complaint claims that a private committee separate from the government-managed temple committee collected cash gold and silver donations from devotees. It is also alleged that the donation money was deposited into private bank accounts and financial records were manipulated. Following the complaint the district administration has formed a three-member inquiry committee and asked it to submit its report within seven days. CM Seeks Promotion Report From All Govet Departments Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has sought complete details of government employee promotions carried out under the Public Service Promotion Rules 2025. The Chief Ministers Secretariat has directed all departments to upload department-wise and post-wise promotion data by this evening through the official reporting link. The Chief Minister has also instructed that no eligible government employee should be left out of the promotion process. The government wants to review the progress made during the first nine days after the new promotion rules came into effect and ensure that the process is completed fairly and without delay. Youth Swept Away as Heavy Rains Continues Across MP Heavy monsoon rain continues to affect many parts of Madhya Pradesh. More than 40 districts received rainfall during the last 24 hours causing floods and waterlogging in several areas. In Khargone a young man was swept away in the strong current of the Ruparel River. Rescue efforts are underway. In Ratlam an underbridge was flooded creating traffic problems. In Shajapur teachers crossed a fast-flowing stream to reach their school. The administration has advised people to stay away from rivers streams and flooded roads until the weather improves.
