Government to Help Bring Gurkirat’s Body from Canada Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav visited the home of student Gurkirat Singh Manocha in Parshwanath City on Tuesday. He met the family and expressed deep condolences. The Chief Minister promised that the state government will help bring Gurkirat’s body back from Canada and also bear the full cost of the funeral. Gurkirat was killed on March 14 in Fort St. John after a vehicle reportedly ran over him. The Chief Minister said the state is in contact with the Government of Canada through the Government of India. He added that Gurkirat’s family is part of the state and the government will support them during this difficult time. RSS Plans Organizational Changes in Centenary Year Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has decided to make some changes in its organization during its centenary year. The information was shared by Ashok Pandey. He said the decision was discussed during a meeting held in March. Under the new plan the posts of Prant Sanchalak and Pradesh Sanchalak will be replaced with a Divisional Executive Committee. However the current structure of Vibhag district and Khand levels will remain the same. There will also be one Pradesh Karyavah at the state level to manage activities. In Madhya Pradesh the RSS will now have nine divisions. Pandey also said RSS workers in Kerala have contacted Muslim and Christian families as part of outreach programs during the centenary celebrations. Bomb Threat Email Sent to Bhopal Office Authorities in Bhopal received another bomb threat email on Tuesday. The message claimed that four small RDX bombs were placed in the Weights and Measures Department office in MP Nagar using drones. It warned that the bombs would explode at 2 PM and asked employees to leave the building immediately. Police and security teams quickly reached the spot and carried out a thorough search. After investigation officials confirmed that the threat was fake and no explosives were found. Such threat emails have been reported several times in the city recently. Authorities are now trying to trace the sender and take strict action against those responsible for spreading panic. New Controversy Over Monalisa’s Marriage A new controversy has started over the marriage of viral girl Monalisa who became famous during the Kumbh Mela. Nazia Ilahi Khan said she does not consider the marriage normal and called it a case of “properly planned love jihad.” She made this statement during a media discussion in Khargone with film director Sanoj Mishra. Khan also mentioned the case of Sharjeel Imam saying that extremist groups may again become active after he recently came out on parole for a family wedding. She demanded that security agencies should investigate the entire issue carefully to find the truth. Villagers Block Betul–Amravati Highway Villagers blocked the Betul–Amravati State Highway on Tuesday in protest. The protest took place near Neemdhana village in the Bhainsdehi block of Betul. People from Vijaygram Panchayat stopped traffic and demanded proper drinking water supply and better roads in their village. Due to the blockade long lines of vehicles formed on the highway. Local administrative officers and police reached the area and tried to convince the protesters to clear the road. Villagers said they have faced a serious water shortage for a long time and cannot get enough water even for daily needs. They also complained that the village roads are in very poor condition making travel difficult. Strong Western Disturbance to Bring Rain in Madhya Pradesh A strong Western Disturbance will become active in Madhya Pradesh from March 18. According to senior weather scientist Divya E. Surendran many districts may see thunderstorms rain and strong winds for three days. Cities such as Bhopal Indore Gwalior Ujjain and Jabalpur may also experience this weather change. Before this system arrives the state is experiencing strong heat. Meteorologists say the disturbance will first affect northwest India on the night of March 17 and then influence Madhya Pradesh. Rain is likely on March 18 19 and 20 which may give temporary relief from the heat.
