India has tested the Agni-Prime missile using a special train-based mobile launcher system. The test happened late Wednesday night at Chandipur Integrated Test Range Odisha. This missile was launched from a canister system fitted on a train. The special train can move anywhere across the country where rail lines exist. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh confirmed the success of this test. With this India joins the select group of nations that can launch missiles from trains. This achievement shows India’s growing missile strength and advanced defence technology.
