Scindia Royal Property Settlement Faces Fresh Legal Hurdle The proposed settlement over the division of the Scindia royal familys properties has once again run into legal complications. An Additional District Judge court heard arguments in the case on Wednesday. The dispute involves properties worth several billion rupees. After hearing both sides the court fixed October 14 for its decision. The court will decide whether the case should move forward with evidence and trial proceedings or be decided on pending applications. Pratima Devi daughter of Jyotiraditya Scindia’s elder aunt has raised objections and alleged fraud. Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje former Madhya Pradesh minister Yashodhara Raje and Usha Raje told the court that the settlement was signed with the consent of all concerned parties. Indore Hosts ‘Viksit Bharat’ Pledge Programme A large public programme was held in Indore on Wednesday to express gratitude for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service and governance. The event called Seva Jyoti Sankalp took place at the IDA Ground in Vijay Nagar. Thousands of BJP workers and supporters attended the gathering. Participants arrived carrying the national flag and listened to the Prime Minister’s virtual address. State ministers Kailash Vijayvargiya and Tulsi Silawat along with Member of Parliament Shankar Lalwani and several MLAs were present. Organisers said the programme aimed to encourage people to take a pledge towards building a developed India and supporting the country’s future growth. MP Travel Mart Begins in Bhopal The Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart began in Bhopal on Wednesday evening with participation from tourism representatives from around the world. Around 100 guests from nearly 34 countries including the United States France Japan and Italy are attending the event. They will interact with domestic tour operators and discuss travel experiences and tourism opportunities. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also met the visiting delegates. More than 600 representatives including 180 tour operators from 15 Indian states are expected to participate. Officials said investment proposals and agreements worth over ₹1100 crore may be finalised during the event while a major investment deal is also planned in Sehore district. International Shri Ram Leela Festival from October 12 An International Shri Ram Leela Festival will begin at Ravindra Bhavan in Bhopal on October 12 and continue until October 18. The week-long event will feature performances based on various episodes from the Ramayana through different art forms. Organisers say more than ten artistic disciplines will be represented. Foreign scholars and artists are also expected to participate. The festival is being organised by the Shri Ramchandra Path Gaman Nyas and the Culture Department with support from the Sangeet Natak Akademi. Similar events will also be held at Orchha from October 11 to 13 and at Chitrakoot from October 13 to 19. Teacher Candidates End Four-Hour Road Blockade in Bhopal Candidates seeking appointments as Primary Teacher Grade-3 ended their four-hour road blockade at MP Nagar Square in Bhopal after talks with local officials. The candidates who claim to be merit holders have been demanding appointments for a long time. They cleared the road after discussions with SDM Lakhan Singh Choudhary and police officers. However the protesters have given the government a 24-hour ultimatum. They said that if no concrete action is taken by the Education Minister or Chief Minister to address their concerns they will launch another protest. The candidates say they have been waiting for appointments despite qualifying in the recruitment process. Youth Throws Tablet at LED Screen During PM’s Speech A BJP programme in Chhindwara witnessed chaos on Wednesday when a young man allegedly threw his tablet at an LED screen displaying Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s virtual address. The incident occurred during the Seva Jyoti Yatra event. Police personnel immediately took the youth into custody. Witnesses said some BJP workers present at the venue also assaulted him before police intervened. The youth was later taken to Kotwali Police Station for questioning. Authorities are investigating the reason behind the act. The incident briefly disrupted the programme and created confusion among participants before normal activities resumed. Monsoon Withdraws Rain Likely in Parts of MP The southwest monsoon has officially withdrawn from Madhya Pradesh but weather conditions may still bring rain to several districts over the next three days. According to weather officials an active weather system could trigger thunderstorms and rainfall in parts of the state. Districts including Jabalpur Rewa Satna Sidhi Singrauli Shahdol Mandla and Balaghat are among those likely to receive showers. Rain and lightning alerts have been issued for several eastern districts. Authorities have advised residents to remain cautious during thunderstorms. Temperatures may remain moderate due to cloud cover and rainfall activity in the affected areas.
