Collector’s Warning to Toxic Liquor Tragedy Rewa Collector Narendra Kumar Suryavanshi made a surprise inspection of Sanjay Gandhi Hospital late Tuesday night. Several senior duty doctors were missing while many wards were dirty and poorly managed. The Collector strongly criticised officials and staff. Angry over the poor cleanliness he asked where the cleaning staff was. He warned one employee saying he would teach them a lesson they would never forget. The Collector said he could inspect the hospital even at 2 AM or 6 AM. He warned that strict action would be taken if poor arrangements are found again. High Court Ends 70-80-90% Salary Rule The Jabalpur High Court has cancelled the 70-80-90 percent salary rule for government employees on probation. The decision brings major relief to thousands of employees in Madhya Pradesh. The court said employees appointed after November 25 2019 should receive full salary. The court noted that if an employee performs full duties paying less than the fixed salary scale is unfair. The earlier system allowed employees to receive only 70 80 and 90 percent salary during probation. The High Court has now declared this arrangement invalid. Rahul Gandhi Targets MP Government Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has strongly criticised the Madhya Pradesh government after the toxic liquor tragedy in Sagar. In a post on X Rahul said Madhya Pradesh has one of India’s most corrupt governments and claimed that governance has collapsed. He said poisonous liquor medicine and water are becoming serious issues. Around 22 people have reportedly died after drinking toxic liquor in Sagar’s Banda and Shahgarh areas. More than 120 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals. Rahul said arrests and suspensions may happen but such tragedies continue to occur. Congress MLA Makes Serious Hospital Allegation Congress MLA Abhay Mishra has made a serious allegation against Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Rewa. During a Congress protest he claimed that if the body of a beautiful woman is brought for post-mortem sexual assault takes place. He also alleged that money is taken from families in the name of post-mortem. However these serious claims have not been independently verified. No official evidence has been released to confirm such incidents. The allegation has created controversy and raised serious questions about hospital management and post-mortem procedures. Dhar Gets Its First Passenger Train September 8 2026 became a historic day for Dhar district. For the first time since Independence passenger train services started in the district. Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually flagged off a new MEMU passenger train between Pratapnagar-Vadodara and Tanda Road. He also inaugurated the Jobat-Tanda Road section of the Chhota Udepur-Dhar railway project. Union Minister of State and Dhar-Mhow MP Savitri Thakur was present at Tanda Road. The new railway service is expected to improve travel and development in Dhar’s tribal region. Bhopal Sealing Cases: Verdict Reserved The Madhya Pradesh High Court has reserved its decision on around 50 petitions related to encroachment and sealing action in Bhopal. Justice Vishal Mishra heard the cases on Tuesday. The petitions involve sealed shops and buildings in 10 Number Market E-4 and nearby areas. Some cases are related to properties within 50 metres of the Upper Lake. The government says commercial activities cannot operate there. However shop owners argue that their properties are being used according to the Master Plan 2005 and allowed retail rules. MP Receives 31.1 Inches of Rain Madhya Pradesh has received an average of 31.1 inches of rainfall so far this monsoon season. This is around 83.5 percent of the expected rainfall. Bhopal and 12 other districts have received above-normal rain. However rainfall remains low in 31 districts. According to the IMD Bhopal heavy rain may continue in Rewa and Shahdol divisions until September 11. Other districts may receive light rain. A new weather system could become active after September 12 bringing rain to many parts of the state again.
