Farmers Protest Escalates in Bhopal CJP Extends Support The farmers protest in Bhopal entered its third day on Wednesday. Farmers are demanding the purchase of moong crop cancellation of the e-token system and acceptance of three major demands. During the protest farmers marching from Narmadapuram Road towards the Chief Ministers residence surrounded the house of Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. A scuffle broke out with police and some farmers clothes were torn. After raising slogans outside the ministers house the protesters continued towards the Chief Ministers residence. Cockroach Janata Party founder Abhijeet Dipke also expressed support for the farmers movement. CM Announces Major Gift on Guru Purnima On the occasion of Guru Purnima Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav attended several events in Ujjain. He inaugurated the newly built Geeta Bhavan on Dewas Road constructed at a cost of around ₹34 crore. The Chief Minister also participated in the state-level Guru Purnima Festival and Maharshi Sandipani Honour Ceremony. During the event he distributed appointment letters to newly selected primary school teachers. The programmes highlighted the states focus on education culture and spiritual values. A large number of teachers students public representatives and local residents attended the celebrations in Ujjain. Supreme Court Defers Bhojshala Hearing The Supreme Court could not hear the Bhojshala case on Wednesday because other matters took longer than expected. As a result the case did not come up for hearing. The matter is now scheduled to be heard on Thursday. The dispute is related to the Bhojshala complex in Dhar and includes issues concerning prayer arrangements administrative preparations and objections raised by members of the Muslim community. All concerned parties are now waiting for the next hearing. The case continues to attract public attention because of its religious and historical importance in Madhya Pradesh. Tiger Found Dead on World Tiger Day A male tiger was found dead on World Tiger Day in the Sonewani Forest Sanctuary of Balaghat district. Forest officials found several injury marks on the tigers body. They believe the animal may have died after a fight with another tiger. Due to a strong foul smell officials estimate that the tiger had been dead for two to three days before it was discovered. The forest department has started an investigation to confirm the exact cause of death. Officials are also examining the surrounding area for more evidence and monitoring wildlife activity. Strong Monsoon System Active in Madhya Pradesh A strong monsoon weather system is active across Madhya Pradesh bringing the possibility of heavy rainfall in many districts. Weather expert Shailendra Kumar Nayak said the system has formed because of an active monsoon trough and cyclonic circulation over the region. The weather system is moving from Odisha through southern Jharkhand and northern Chhattisgarh into eastern and central Madhya Pradesh. Heavy rain is expected in these areas over the next few days. After that the system is likely to weaken into a low-pressure area. People have been advised to stay alert and follow weather updates.
