MP Ready for Uniform Civil Code CM Makes Big Announcement Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced that the state government will introduce the Uniform Civil Code or UCC later this month. He said there should be one common law for all citizens no matter which religion they follow. The Chief Minister said more than one million suggestions were collected from the public before preparing the law. He added that the government could have passed the bill directly in the Assembly but decided to listen to the people first. He also said the government is fully committed to bringing the new law and will move ahead despite possible political criticism. MP Governors Five-Year Term Comes to an End The five-year term of Mangubhai Patel as the Governor of Madhya Pradesh ends today. However there has been no official announcement from the Presidents office about extending his term or appointing a new Governor. This has started political discussions across the state. At the same time Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is visiting New Delhi where he is expected to stay overnight. Political observers believe he may meet senior BJP leaders and discuss the appointment of the next Governor and other important political matters. However there has been no official confirmation of these reports. Meenakshi Natarajan Blames EC Over Rejected Nomination Senior Congress leader and former Member of Parliament Meenakshi Natarajan has spoken publicly for the first time after her Rajya Sabha nomination was rejected. She said neither the Congress party nor the people who filed the nomination made any mistake. According to her a false story was created to blame the party and protect the Election Commission. She claimed the nomination was rejected unfairly. Meenakshi Natarajan also announced that the Congress will file an election petition in the High Court within the legal deadline. She said the party will challenge the entire matter through legal action and seek justice. Farmers Block Highway Over Moong Purchase Demand Thousands of farmers staged a massive protest in Sehore the home district of Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The farmers demanded 100 percent government purchase of the moong crop removal of the e-token system and an increase in the purchase limit. More than 500 tractors joined the protest under the Dera Dalo-Ghera Dalo campaign. The protest became stronger after the District Collector did not arrive to receive the farmers memorandum. The farmers refused to hand it over to other officials and blocked the Indore-Bhopal Highway causing long traffic jams. They also raised slogans against the government and said the protest would continue until their demands were heard. Viral Video of Woman Police Officer Under Investigation A video of police officer Priyanka Patel from the Damoh rural police station has gone viral on social media. In the video she is seen wearing her police uniform while sitting on a chair. A message on the screen reads I cannot solve my own problems but I chose a job where I solve other peoples problems. The video quickly attracted attention online. Senior police officials have taken notice of the viral reel and ordered an investigation. They are checking when the video was recorded and whether it violated any department rules. No action has been announced yet and the inquiry is still underway. Heavy Rain Brings Flood-Like Situation in MP Continuous heavy rainfall has created flood-like conditions in several parts of Madhya Pradesh. In Dindori rising water levels in the Narmada River and nearby rivers flooded at least 11 houses. Many villages in the Karanjia block have lost road connectivity due to overflowing rivers. In Balaghat a car a JCB machine and a loader working on a bridge project were swept away by the strong river current. The weather department has issued a heavy to very heavy rainfall alert for 23 districts. People living in low-lying areas have been advised to stay alert avoid flooded roads and follow the instructions of local authorities. -
