MP Police Officers Among 100 Booked in Rajasthan NDPS Case A major legal case has been registered in Rajasthan against around 100 people including two police station in-charges from Madhya Pradesh. The case is linked to an NDPS operation conducted in January 2026 in Ghatakhedi village of Jhalawar district. Following a court order Rajasthan Police filed an FIR against several police officials and others. Authorities said more suspects may be identified during the investigation. The case has attracted attention because it involves officers from another state and allegations related to a drug-control operation. Indore Metro Project Cost Increased to ₹12900 Crore The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet has approved a revised budget for the Indore Metro Rail Project. Earlier the project cost was estimated at around ₹7500 crore but it has now been increased to ₹12900 crore. Officials said the rise is due to higher construction costs and additional project requirements. The government believes the metro will improve public transport and reduce traffic congestion in Indore. The revised proposal has been cleared to ensure the project continues without delays and meets future transportation needs. Contaminated Water Makes 10 People Sick in Indore A fresh case of contaminated drinking water has been reported in Indore. Around 10 residents of Mahavir Nagar have fallen ill after sewage reportedly mixed with the water supply. Local people complained that the water was dirty and had a bad smell for several days. After receiving complaints municipal officials visited the area and began inspecting pipelines and borewells. Authorities are trying to identify the source of contamination and restore safe drinking water. Residents have demanded immediate action to prevent further health problems. Dead Fly Found in Sandwich at Bhopal Restaurant A customer in Bhopal has complained after allegedly finding a dead fly inside a sandwich served at a restaurant in Platinum Plaza. The customer said she ordered a cheese sandwich and noticed the insect while eating. She immediately informed the restaurant staff but claimed the issue was not taken seriously. A complaint was then filed with the Food Safety Department. Food inspectors are expected to investigate the restaurant and check hygiene standards. The incident has raised concerns about food safety and cleanliness in eateries. Judicial Custody Extended in Twisha Sharma Death Case In the Twisha Sharma death case a court in Bhopal has extended the judicial custody of her husband Samarth Singh and mother-in-law Giribala Singh until June 30. The CBI did not seek further custody and informed the court that it is waiting for a second post-mortem report. Investigators are examining allegations of dowry harassment suspicious death and injury marks found on the body. The case continues to draw public attention as authorities work to determine the exact circumstances surrounding Twisha Sharma’s death. Rain Brings Relief Across Parts of Madhya Pradesh Several districts of Madhya Pradesh received rain on Tuesday bringing relief from the heat. Sidhi recorded nearly one inch of rainfall while Rewa Satna and Betul received around half an inch or more. Rain was also reported in Raisen Multai and Sagar after cloudy conditions developed during the day. Strong winds accompanied showers in some areas. Weather officials say changing conditions may bring more rain to different parts of the state in the coming days providing relief to residents and farmers.
