Congress Targets MP Government Over Master Plan Delay In the Madhya Pradesh Assembly the Congress party strongly criticized the BJP government during the Budget Session. Congress leaders said that the Master Plan of Indore city is stuck because of a fight between the Chief Minister and a minister. MLA Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat said it is unfortunate that the minister claims the plan is ready but it is pending with the Chief Minister. The opposition also raised concerns about tree cutting for Adani coal mines. BJP replied that tree cutting will not cause major harm. Congress MLA Mahesh Parmar also attacked the PWD Minister over repeated bridge collapse cases in the state. CM Mohan Yadav Praises Women of Livelihood Mission Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that women connected with the Livelihood Mission are strengthening the state’s economy. He was speaking at a workshop held at Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium in Bhopal. The CM said that self-help groups are a living example of unity and teamwork. He praised women for their hard work and said their efforts reflect the idea that unity brings strength and prosperity. He added that these groups are improving rural income and helping families become financially independent. The government plans to further support women-led self-help groups across Madhya Pradesh. Bulldozer Action in Ujjain Before Simhastha 2028 In Ujjain the municipal corporation started an anti-encroachment drive for preparations of Simhastha 2028. Authorities removed illegal constructions built after 2016 from Narsingh Ghat to Lalpul Bridge road. The action was taken in Zone 03 with heavy police force present at the spot. Officials said the land is needed for saints’ camps tents and parking facilities for devotees during the religious event. Some permanent three-storey structures were demolished during the drive. The administration said the action is necessary to ensure proper arrangements for the grand religious gathering in 2028. Governor’s Shahdol Visit Cancelled Due to Helicopter Fault The Governor of Madhya Pradesh Mangubhai Patel could not attend the fifth convocation ceremony of Pandit Shambhunath Shukla University in Shahdol due to a technical fault in his helicopter. The program was held at the university’s Navalpur campus. After the Governor could not arrive Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ramshankar conducted the event and read out the Governor’s message. For some time there was confusion at the venue. In his message the Governor said that education is important not only for jobs but also for serving the nation and contributing to society. Protest Against UGC Law in Bhind A large public meeting was organized in Gohad town of Bhind district against the new UGC law. Senior advocate Anil Mishra addressed the gathering and said the law is harmful for the future of students and youth. He appealed to people to celebrate the birth anniversary of B.N. Rau and called him the true architect of the Constitution. Mishra warned that if the government does not reconsider the law a big protest movement will be launched. People from different communities attended the meeting and expressed concern over possible changes in higher education policies. Outsourced Health Workers Protest in Bhopal Around 30000 outsourced health workers in Madhya Pradesh are on strike from 25 February 2026. They are demanding regularization of jobs and fulfillment of nine key demands. On Wednesday nearly 3000 workers gathered at JP Hospital in Bhopal to protest. They tried to take out a “Nyay Yatra” but police stopped them by placing barricades. There was some pushing and chaos at the protest site. During the demonstration a woman worker fainted. She had come with her two-and-a-half-year-old child. The workers say they will continue their protest until the government accepts their demands. Farmer Dies by Suicide in Bhopal A 28-year-old farmer in the Eintkhedi area of Bhopal died after consuming poison on Tuesday night. He was taken to the hospital where he died during treatment on Wednesday morning. Police have started an investigation. Initial reports say that he was upset due to a dispute with his wife. The farmer Golu Sahu also worked at a cosmetics shop besides farming. His wife had filed a dowry harassment case and was living at her parents’ house for the past year. Police are examining all angles to understand the exact reason behind the tragic incident. Tigress Chakradhara Seen With Five Cubs in Bandhavgarh In Bandhavgarh National Park tigress Chakradhara was seen with her five cubs in the Tala zone. Forest officials said the tigress is around seven years old and has made Badhaini area her permanent territory. Two cubs are about two-and-a-half years old while three are nearly one-and-a-half years old. All cubs were seen crossing a forest path one by one before entering the jungle. Range Officer Rahul Kirar said the tigress and her family are often spotted in the Tala forest area which is a positive sign for wildlife conservation. Hail and Rain Damage Crops in Madhya Pradesh Weather has changed in Madhya Pradesh due to cyclonic circulation and a trough system. In the last two days more than 20 districts witnessed strong winds and rainfall. Some areas also reported hailstorms causing damage to wheat and gram crops. According to the Meteorological Department a western disturbance may affect the western Himalayan region on 27 February. Its impact may also be seen in Madhya Pradesh. Weather experts say that light rain may occur in some parts of the state on 1 and 2 March. Farmers are worried about crop losses due to sudden weather changes.
