Stone Pelting on Officials in Dhar Violence broke out in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh when a government team went to survey a limestone mining area. The incident happened in Khedli village under Kukshi police station limits. Villagers attacked the Tehsildar and police team with stones. Several police and government vehicles were damaged. Videos show an angry crowd trying to overturn the Tehsildar’s car. Police from nine stations were deployed for security. Villagers say the proposed limestone mine and cement factory will damage their land and make it barren. They fear displacement and loss of livelihood. Officials had gone for drilling and survey work when the clash started. MP Budget 2026: Free Milk and 15000 Teacher Jobs The Madhya Pradesh government presented its third budget under Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. Finance Minister Jagdish Devda announced a budget of Rs 4.38 lakh crore for 2026-27. The speech lasted about 90 minutes. The government said the budget focuses on poor people youth farmers women infrastructure and industrial growth. One major announcement is free tetra pack milk for students up to Class 8. The government will also recruit 15000 teachers. Around Rs 3 lakh crore has been allocated for welfare and development schemes. The budget aims to improve education jobs and basic facilities in the state. Meritorious Student and Cycle Scheme to Continue The cabinet of Madhya Pradesh led by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav approved the continuation of major welfare schemes for the next five years. The decision was taken in a cabinet meeting at the state secretariat. The government will continue the Cycle Distribution Scheme Meritorious Student Award Scheme and hostel excellence awards till 2030-31. These schemes are run by the Tribal Welfare and School Education Departments. The aim is to support students from poor and tribal families. The cabinet also approved the 2026-27 budget. The visit was described as a religious and organizational tour by the party. Man Dies of Heart Attack While Dancing A shocking incident happened in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh. A 40-year-old man Ghanshyam Yadav died after suffering a heart attack during a wedding function. The incident took place in Ojhra village during a Mehendi ceremony. Ghanshyam was dancing with his wife when he suddenly fell to the ground. Family members first thought it was part of his dance step. When he did not get up they rushed him to the hospital. Doctors declared him dead. He had come from Piplud village in Barwani district for his nephew’s wedding. The incident was captured on video. Protest Over MBBS Student Death Protests erupted in Alirajpur district after the suspicious death of MBBS student Roshni Kanesh in Bhopal. She was studying at Gandhi Medical College. Tribal groups and students staged a protest at the bus stand square and submitted a memorandum to the Governor. Protesters demanded a high-level inquiry into her death. They alleged that evidence was tampered with and CCTV footage from her private hostel was deleted. They have demanded seizure of the CCTV hard disk for forensic examination. The incident has created anger among local communities demanding justice and transparency. New Sindh River Bridge to Open on Feb 21 Residents of Sewda town in Datia district will receive a major gift on February 21. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will inaugurate a new bridge built over the Sindh River. The bridge is expected to improve road connectivity and help local trade and travel. District Collector Swapnil Wankhede and SP Suraj Verma inspected the venue and helipad preparations on Wednesday. The administration has started final preparations for the event.
