Indore Water Tragedy Damages City Image The Indore Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court strongly reacted to the deaths caused by contaminated drinking water in Indore’s Bhagirathpura area. During the hearing the court said this incident has badly damaged the image of Indore across the country. Indore is known as India’s cleanest city but unsafe drinking water has now become a national concern. The court said if drinking water itself is polluted it is a very serious matter. The judges said they want to hear the Chief Secretary because the problem is not limited to one area. According to the court the safety of drinking water across the entire city is under question. Tablets Given to Ministers in MP Cabinet Meeting Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav introduced a new digital initiative by distributing tablets to all members of the Council of Ministers. During the cabinet meeting held at the Mantralaya ministers and in-charge secretaries received tablets to access cabinet-related information digitally. The Chief Minister said this step will improve transparency speed and efficiency in government work. All important cabinet documents will now be available online through these tablets. Cabinet ministers welcomed the initiative and expressed happiness. They thanked the Chief Minister for adopting modern technology in governance. The government believes this move will reduce paperwork and help in faster decision-making. Aspiring Teachers Protest in Bhopal More than 2000 aspiring teachers from across Madhya Pradesh staged a major protest in Bhopal on Tuesday. The protest was against the shortage of teachers in government schools and the limited number of posts announced in recent recruitment exams. Demonstrators surrounded the Directorate of Public Instruction and the Tribal Affairs Department. Many candidates recited Hanuman Chalisa during the protest. The aspirants claimed that despite thousands of vacant posts very few seats are announced which is unfair. They said this is pushing deserving candidates out of the system and harming the quality of education in government schools across the state. Contract Employees Meet Deputy CM Jagdish Devda A delegation of contract employees met Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Jagdish Devda to raise their demands. The employees requested regularisation or merger into vacant government posts based on seniority. They also demanded amendments to the contract policy issued on July 22 2023. The delegation said contract employees have been serving for years but are still denied job security and fair benefits. They demanded salary allowances and seniority benefits be fixed according to experience. The contract workers said their issues are affecting morale and efficiency in government departments and urged the state government to take an early and positive decision. Farmers Block Road in Satna Over Paddy Procurement Angry farmers in Satna district blocked the main Circuit House Square on Wednesday to protest problems at paddy procurement centres. Farmers alleged irregularities in the purchase process and delays in registration verification. Carrying tractors the protesters sat on the road and raised slogans against the state government and district administration. Due to the road blockade traffic at the busy square came to a complete standstill causing inconvenience to commuters. The farmers said they are facing harassment despite following all rules. They warned that if the problems are not resolved soon the agitation will be intensified across the district. Congress Leaders Inspect Water Tanks in Bhopal After the deaths caused by contaminated water in Indore concerns have risen in Bhopal as well. Several areas of the capital have reported dirty water supply. While the municipal corporation is collecting samples and repairing valves Congress leaders also carried out inspections. In Barkheda Pathani dirt was found inside a water tank. At Shyamla Hills filter plant raw water was seen mixing directly from the Upper Lake. Congress leader Ravindra Sahu Jhumarwala climbed a water tank and recorded a video showing poor conditions. Congress warned the authorities to take immediate corrective steps to avoid a serious health crisis. Class 6 Student Dies During PT in Dhar A tragic incident was reported from Dhar district’s Badnawar where a Class 6 student died suddenly during morning physical training. Thirteen-year-old Nisha Suryavanshi collapsed while doing PT at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Multhan. The incident occurred around 7:15 am when she suddenly fell on the ground. Teachers and students rushed to help her and immediately took her to the Civil Hospital Badnawar. Doctors examined her and declared her dead. The sudden death of the young student has shocked the school staff and local community. The exact cause of death is yet to be confirmed. Severe Cold Continues Across Madhya Pradesh Cold weather continues to grip Madhya Pradesh with chilly nights and cool days due to cold wave conditions. According to the Meteorological Department Datia recorded the lowest daytime temperature at 17.6 degrees Celsius. Sheopur recorded 18.2 degrees while Naugaon recorded 18.5 degrees. Gwalior remained at 18.9 degrees and Khajuraho at 20.4 degrees Celsius. Cities like Rewa Tikamgarh Narsinghpur Pachmarhi Bhopal and Ratlam also saw low temperatures. In Rajgarh district temperatures dropped close to 2 degrees at night increasing cold-related discomfort among people especially in rural areas.
