Shah Calls CM Mohan Yadav More Energetic Than Shivraj Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited Madhya Pradesh on Thursday. He attended programs in Gwalior and Rewa. In Gwalior Shah inaugurated the “Abhyuday Madhya Pradesh Growth Summit” the Gwalior Trade Fair and the Atal Museum along with Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. During his speech Shah praised CM Mohan Yadav’s working style. He said Mohan Yadav is working with more energy than former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Shah said Madhya Pradesh was once called a “BIMARU” state during Digvijay Singh’s rule. He added that Shivraj Singh removed this tag and now Mohan Yadav is taking the state forward at a faster pace. Shah also addressed Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia as “Raja Saheb” which was welcomed with loud applause by the audience. Digvijay Singh Attacks BJP Over Temple Land Former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh has strongly attacked the BJP government over the auction of temple land. He said people who accuse him of being anti-religion are the same ones occupying temple and government land today. Digvijay Singh said that those who claim to protect religion are actually doing the most anti-religious work. He demanded that the decision to auction temple land should be withdrawn immediately. Singh said this decision violates the Constitution Supreme Court orders and Sanatan traditions. He warned that selling temple land hurts religious faith and public trust. His statement has once again heated up the political debate in Madhya Pradesh. Kamal Nath Counters Loan Waiver Claims Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath has hit back at Cooperation Minister Vishwas Sarang. Armed Dacoits Loot Jewellery Shops in Rajgarh A major crime shocked Rajgarh district on Wednesday night. Ten to twelve armed dacoits carried out a robbery in the Sarafa Bazaar area. The criminals broke the locks of two jewellery shops using iron rods slingshots and pistols. They looted jewellery worth lakhs of rupees. An elderly shopkeeper who was sleeping inside one shop was badly injured after being attacked with an iron rod. When some local youths tried to chase the dacoits the criminals fired gunshots and threw stones using slingshots. Due to stress and fear the father of one shop owner suffered a heart attack and died. Protest to Save Trees in Bhopal People in Bhopal protested against the cutting of nearly 7871 trees for a 10-lane road project on Ayodhya Bypass. The National Green Tribunal has put a stay on the project till January 8 and the next hearing is awaited. Before the hearing citizens came out on the streets to save the trees. Some protesters hugged trees wore masks and said cutting trees would destroy greenery and increase pollution. A few protesters even paid tribute to already cut trees by lighting incense sticks. Cold Weather Continues in Madhya Pradesh Cold weather continues across Madhya Pradesh as temperatures remain low in many districts. Early morning and late night hours are very chilly and people are using sweaters jackets and blankets to stay warm. During the day the weather stays mostly clear with mild sunshine giving some relief from the cold. There is no rain expected at present and the weather is likely to remain dry.
