CM Mohan Yadav Takes a Bus to Reach His Residence Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav travelled by bus to his official residence on Friday. He first attended a state-level programme in the presence of Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari. During the event 351 intercity and intracity buses were flagged off in seven cities under the Madhya Pradesh Sugam Transport Service. After the programme Chief Minister Mohan Yadav bought a ticket and travelled by bus from BHEL Dussehra Maidan to his official residence. His bus journey came after the launch of the new public transport service in the state. Municipal CMO Caught Taking ₹2 Lakh Bribe The Lokayukta team caught Gajanan Nafde Chief Municipal Officer of Mandla Nagar Palika while allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹2 lakh on Friday. The action took place at the municipal office. According to the Lokayukta contractor Gyanchand Bain a resident of Pindrai in Jabalpur district had complained that the CMO was demanding a bribe. Gyanchand Bain and his wife Manju Bain are registered government contractors. A firm named MS Palak Bain is registered in his wife’s name. The Lokayukta team took action after receiving the complaint and caught the CMO during the alleged bribe transaction. RSS Executive Board Meeting to Be Held in Indore The annual Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal meeting of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh or RSS will be held in Indore Madhya Pradesh. The three-day meeting will take place from October 3 to 5. The meeting is also known as the ‘Diwali Meeting’ of the organisation. Office-bearers from all 46 RSS provinces across the country are expected to attend. The meeting is taking place as the RSS moves towards the final phase of its centenary celebrations. The organisation completed 100 years in October 2025. The centenary-year programmes will continue until Vijayadashami on October 20 2026. Govt Starts Promotion Process for 1050 Patwaris The Madhya Pradesh government has started the process to promote patwaris to the post of Revenue Inspector or RI. The move comes after a long-pending demand from patwaris was accepted by the state government. The promotion process is linked to the ownership scheme under which free registration is planned for around 50 lakh beneficiaries living on such land. The Commissioner of Land Records and Settlement has asked all district collectors to provide service details of eligible patwaris. A list of 1050 patwaris has also been issued. Their promotion is expected to be carried out under the promotion rules issued by the General Administration Department in 2025. BJP Leader Responds to Rahul Gandhi’s Election Remarks BJP national general secretary and MP Gajendra Singh Patel responded to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in Khargone. Rahul Gandhi had demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Patel described the allegations as baseless and said confusion was being created about the election system. He also questioned why questions are raised about EVMs and the election process when the Congress wins elections. Patel said the election system should not be presented in a way that creates confusion among people. His remarks came during a political programme in Khargone. India-West Indies T20 Tickets Sold Out in 2 Hours 20 Minutes Tickets for the India-West Indies T20 match in Indore were sold out within just 2 hours and 20 minutes on Friday. The match will be played at Holkar Stadium on October 11. Online ticket sales started at 6 AM and a large number of cricket fans quickly booked their tickets. Tickets for the East Gallery were sold first. The West Gallery and Pavilion tickets were also sold out soon after. By 8:20 AM all regular tickets available online had been sold. The match is expected to attract a large crowd of cricket fans in Indore. Ganesh Processions Held in Bhopal and Indore Ganesh idol immersion processions were held in Bhopal and Indore on Anant Chaturdashi as Ganesh festival celebrations came to an end in Madhya Pradesh. In Bhopal members of the Muslim community welcomed a Ganesh immersion procession. Muslim women showered flowers on the Ganesh idol and welcomed the procession with flower garlands. The celebrations also saw emotional moments. During the farewell of Lord Ganesha near Kaliyasot Dam a young girl became emotional and started crying. Her family members tried to comfort her. The processions marked the final day of this year’s Ganesh festival celebrations. Two People Die During Ganesh Idol Immersion in Balaghat Two people died in separate incidents during Ganesh idol immersion in Balaghat on Anant Chaturdashi. The incidents took place under two different police station areas. In the first incident a procession was taken out by a local Ganesh festival committee in Morwahi village under Kiranapur police station. During the idol immersion in a village pond 17-year-old Tanmay son of Balagiri Gosai entered deep water and drowned. The incident happened while people were taking part in the immersion ceremony. In the second incident another person also died by drowning during Ganesh idol immersion in the district. Heavy Rain Alert in Many Districts Madhya Pradesh is likely to receive heavy rain in several districts today September 25**. The India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for very heavy rain in 13 districts including Jabalpur Satna Rewa Panna Chhatarpur Umaria Mandla Chhindwara Seoni and Balaghat. Bhopal Indore and Ujjain may also receive rain and thunderstorms. The weather system is expected to remain active through September 27.
