CM Mohan Yadav and MP Shankar Lalwani Hold 15-Minute Airport Meeting Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Indore MP Shankar Lalwani met privately at Indore Airport on Saturday. Their meeting lasted around 10 to 15 minutes. The Chief Minister had arrived in Indore from Ujjain and was scheduled to leave for Gondia in Maharashtra. During this time he held a one-to-one discussion with Lalwani. No other major public representative from Indore was present at the airport. The meeting has sparked political discussions in BJP circles. However the details of what was discussed between the Chief Minister and the MP have not been officially revealed. MP Govt Announces ₹2 Lakh Aid for Families of Tribal Children The Madhya Pradesh government will provide financial assistance of ₹2 lakh each to the families of tribal children who died in Balaghat district. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav made the announcement during his visit to the affected Bondari village on Saturday. The Chief Minister first reached Lanji and later visited Korka and Bondari villages. He met the affected families and asked about the deaths. He also discussed the availability of nutrition food in the area. Local MLAs raised issues related to forest rights and health services. The Chief Minister assured the families of government support and necessary action. BJP State Working Committee Meeting to Be Held in Orchha The Madhya Pradesh BJP State Working Committee meeting will be held in Orchha tomorrow. The meeting will begin at 9 AM. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and BJP state president Hemant Khandelwal will attend the meeting. Around 250 selected leaders including state office-bearers and members of the state working committee are expected to participate. The meeting is considered important for discussions on the party organization and its future political strategy in Madhya Pradesh. Leaders are expected to discuss several organizational matters and prepare plans for upcoming political activities. The meeting could also focus on strengthening the party at the grassroots level. Rahul Gandhi May Attend ‘Students Ki Goonj’ Programme in Indore The Madhya Pradesh Congress is preparing to strengthen its reach among students. The party is planning a large programme called ‘Students Ki Goonj’ in Indore. The event is proposed to be held at Nehru Stadium on September 12. Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi may attend the programme. However the final date venue and Rahul Gandhi’s visit are yet to be confirmed. A meeting was held at the residence of MP Congress chief Jitu Patwari to discuss preparations. Several senior leaders and party office-bearers attended the meeting and discussed the proposed programme. Pregnant Woman Dies Four Staff Members Suspended A nine-month pregnant woman Kalpana Mishra and her unborn child died during treatment at Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Rewa. Hours before her death Kalpana reportedly came out of the maternity ward and asked her mother for help. She was later taken back to the ward by nursing staff. Four hospital staff members have been suspended in connection with the case. They include doctors from the on-call duty and anesthesia department along with two nursing officers. The National Health Mission has formed a five-member committee to investigate the case. Health Minister Rajendra Shukla said negligence will not be tolerated. Anshuman Yadav Appointed MP ADG Intelligence The Madhya Pradesh Police department has announced major changes among senior IPS officers. The Home Department has issued orders regarding transfers and additional responsibilities. Senior IPS officer Anshuman Yadav a 1998-batch officer has been appointed the new ADG Intelligence in Madhya Pradesh. He will also hold additional charge as ADG Cyber at the Police Headquarters. Meanwhile 1995-batch IPS officer Chanchal Shekhar has been removed as ADG of SAF. He has now been appointed Director of the Sports and Youth Welfare Department. The changes are part of a major reshuffle involving senior police officers in the state. Chitrakoot Flooded as Mandakini River Rises 30 Feet Heavy rain has created flood-like conditions in several districts of Madhya Pradesh including Satna Chitrakoot Tikamgarh Chhatarpur and Panna. Chitrakoot has received heavy rain for around 18 hours. The Mandakini River is flowing around 30 feet above its normal level. A 300-metre bridge near Ramghat was reportedly washed away by the strong water flow. An alert has been issued in 36 villages ahead of water release from the Tons Hydel Project. People living in low-lying areas of Satna have been asked to move to safer places. Officials warn that water levels may rise suddenly in downstream areas.
